Anyways, the other day, people kept saying I "hacked" because I joined in 2012 and only have 600 firsts, so of course how can I keep getting firsts? Also, we have more statpadders on Transformice and people that are like "300 first noob."

So here's the main question, do you think that Transformice is mostly about stats now? You can agree or disagree and basically talk about this here.

I get called a noob just because I started in 2010 but I only have 13k firsts and I'm not in the top 100's

Do I think people care more about firsts now? Yes I do, more and more people are resorting to farming, hacking, favo's, or stat padding.

Do people try too hard to make their stats look very good? yes, look at all those people that have been disqualified from CFM for unfair methods of gaining stats, not to mention the one's that have and are getting around it.

Do people act haughty when they have better stats than others? It's mostly just those who pad so they have a very close first to cheese ratio.

Do you expect less/more of people by just looking at their stats? Neither, I think of everyone as equals. People with low stats generally haven't been on the game much and don't have the "pro" skills, but they're still players.

Do you find yourself wanting better stats and actually start to statpad? Not really, I only get on to play with friends/kill time.

I do. It seems that people start to get angry when their stats are messed up and/or they create new accounts in order to maintain good stats.

Not all the time. There are some people who tend to look down on others because they don't have good stats like they do.

I don't really care about other people's stats, so no.

No not really. I like cheese way better than firsts, but the firsts titles are pretty neat. I won't statpad to reach my goal though, because cheese is an essential part of this game(to me).

I think there are alot of people that care only about stats, but I am happy to see that there is also a big group that plays Transformice for different reasons, e.g. socializing with other people.

I do think people care a lot about firsts. A LOT. Like, they call people who got firsts before them luckers and things like that, even when the first was legit.

Yes, people do try hard to make their stats look good. I wouldn't expect anything less of most people.

Haughty? I'm surrounded by nice people so they don't care that I'm a 2011 person with only 77 firsts. I'm sure some people are haughty, though.

Well, I judge more by the cheese. I mean, I would expect more of a person with 100000 cheese than a person with 20 cheese. Though, I won't treat them differently. Ok, maybe a little. I tend to defend newbies from insults, so yeah.

Better stats? GOD I WANT BETTER STATS!!!! One of my fears is that someone will be like, hey, you're a 2011 girl and you only have 77 firsts! But I didn't play for one year D; Anyway, I won't statpad :P

I'm scared of being bullied because of my stats, even though insults generally fly past me. Though, I have two wonderful friends who will stick with me, so I should be fine :3

Oh and yeah, there was this douche who abandoned me on a soul map "Because there was no other way to get a first". And she even complained about my friend who was being mad at her for me afterwards. She said my friend was being mean. What the heck. Who's being mean.

I remember when I created this acc, I was padding.
I think I was one of the first people and it wasn't hated yet.
There were a lot of people that whispered me:
wow nice profile, or nice name x)

But this was only the first 100 cheese I think, I got bored of it and im glad I stopped o/

It's definitely all about stats now. I don't ever recall so many people fighting in the chat, or killing themselves just because they didn't get a first, back before CFM existed. There were always the more competetive players, but most people I remember just played the game for fun.

I didn't know about cfm yet tho.

But I only play for fun now, sometimes its fun to beat everyone.

I don't think people care more about stats now... Some people have always cared about stats, since the beginning of the game.
Back in that time, when there was a leaderboard ingame, many players cared only about stats to get one of those 3 shiny colored titles (which were awarded to the top ranked player in each category) or just to have his or her nickname shown is this leaderboard (it was only displaying the top 10 or 15). These players were already killing themselves to have a better profile, and acting haughty towards "noobs", just because these "noobs" had less firsts than them or hadn't reached the "Quick Silver" title yet.

Now, I would say that it looks like there are more people who care about stats simply because more people play Transformice. But relative to the total number of players, I even find that less people care about stats.
There used to be this kind of haughty players who only talk about stats in every single regular room, but now its quite uncommon to encounter one of them.
(Or maybe I just have this feeling because most of them seem to have gathered in racing and bootcamp rooms. ^^)

Yes. I actualy used to be a little bit more calmer and nicer before I started TFM, probably because of the ragers and mean people I've met I'm like this.

Yes, they do. Firsts aren't really that important, actually. Statpadding basically gets people nowhere, that's why they barely ever are going to get a first.

Yep, that is true. I see people with around 300 cheese and same amount of firsts. e.g. One mouse has 521 cheese, but 498 firsts.

Yes. One mouse has 20 firsts, but they get a first all of a sudden. Mice that are better then that mouse will began to say "lucker", "noob", "my first," etc. That gets on my nerves.

Not really. I look for personality, if they are rude and act like a snob, then it is obvious I don't expect more from them. (I think I didn't understand this properly.)
