One of my most recent survivor maps where despawning grounds influence the gameplay for mice. I added warning signs so mice would know what would be coming. As shown below. @7385747 1. 2. 3. If you guys are curious about the mechanism behind maps then feel free to ask for it. I'm thinking about step by step explaining how i implement and use mechanism. So that other map makers can learn from it and implement it in their future maps. Let me know whether you guys think i should or not. Feedback on the maps would be appreciated as well! New map! @7382365. This map took me a whole day to complete.It contains quite some layers, despawning grounds and other mechanism. Fortunately it turned out the way i wanted it to! By far my nicest map i would say. My apologies for the bad quality of the gif. My computer is quite laggy and the platform i used to record wasn't that great either. I will soon be doing a thread regarding inconsistencies in the reviews made by survivor private mapcrew. Currently I am collecting maps in rotation and historical reviews made by mapcrew, to support my opinion. I do want to note that this is by no means a personal attack towards the private mapcrew. I have no bad intentions whatsoever. However I do wish to give them feedback and offer them different kind of perspectives regarding reviewing maps. Something I noticed earlier today was the following: A map with this specific layout got into discussion. However it felt like I've seen the map before already, in my own map database i found this map with similar layout and gameplay. which I have submitted the moment I posted this map on my thread. This leads me to one of the subjects I'll be talking about in the new thread i'm making: Suggestions made by mapcrew. I personally experienced that they review in such way that you wouldn't know what to exactly edit/change in your map. Only once in a while they will send a screenshot of edits that would contribute to improve the map. It leaves a lot of players, including me, clueless. Just take a look at of how similar the two maps shown above are. I would like to point out that the map maker of the map shown above had no intention on copying my map. In fact, that person had no clue my map existed. I have nothing against the map maker and i respect this persons work, however i do feel that if two maps were so similar to one each other, whereas one got into discussion and one got rejected, something must be not right, right? I don't blame this on anyone, nor is this post based on any grudges or bad intentions. I have seen a lot of maps in submissions recently which i personally like a lot. However the resulting review has a huge impact on the edit of the map. I completely turned the map around, since the criticizing from the Map crew gave me the idea i was totally doing the wrong thing. And it would be a waste seeing potential perms from others getting changed, while they do have the potential to turn into something great with the right edits and suggestions. Here's a new concept i created! I usually don't post survivor maps in this thread, but i felt like this concept has the potential to make survivor more fun. Not only does it result in mice being more aware of their surroundings (So they finally won't feel bored throughout the round), but it also creates the opportunity for the shaman to spawn from multiple places without having to move. Therefore shaman can make use of certain cannon combinations that would not be possible from just 1 spawn area. EDIT: I just saw that Uelintondd posted a map with this concept in the map contest submission! This was before i posted this concept, i wasn't aware of the fact that this concept was already in use.
