Epalk a dit : @3667188 - I recall you asking me about this a few months ago ingame. I love the map, but its gameplay is just lacking. It can be solved with what, 3 portals and a bit of walljumping? That's not enthralling gameplay at all, nor does it give the feel of being trapped since you're in a prison since you can get anywhere. The shaman's spawn is pretty pointless and isn't fun gameplay, it's just one extra step to endure when shamaning. The fact mice and shaman are trapped and the Ca="" adds confusion, and the fact that portals can't be seen behind all of the rectangle grounds is confusing too. @3688007 - If you're trying to creep people the heck out then this peacock's face is definitely succeeding. The 100px extra scrolling here and there seems more like you're just using the gimmick because it's there, not actually because the gameplay requires it. One head feather thingy has collision and the other hasn't, which is inconsistent. Gameplay is just running around in a circle which isn't terribly interesting. Bigcrushes a dit : I don't really review racing maps, but this is unaligned and parts are completely useless - who would even bother going to the left hole when the right one is closer to both of the cheese? This map is beautiful, but forcing you to walk through Tarzan's legs is confusing gameplay-wise when it's not necessary, the waterfall suddenly cutting you off despite the fact the water continues going up, and the treadmill is unexpected (despite being a nice play on the flowing water). @4598787 - Gameplay is confusing, a single part of the branch not having collision is odd and the shaman's involvement is minimal which changes the whole map's pace. Siilverpack a dit : @3165575 - I don't generally review racing maps but this seems fine to me. @3106618 - Gameplay here is fairly boring, it's just bouncing on a trampoline. Mousechris a dit : You knew I think this map is beautiful already, and it still is :3 Perhaps with some more focus on gameplay it could fit as a P19 map now that the music mode is released. Vividia a dit : Holy dragon detail that's beautiful. The scrolling (especially vertically) on this map seems to be there for the sake of it, not because it's actually needed for the map. The map itself looks great but as with most art maps this doesn't have any sort of crossover between gameplay and art. Perhaps you could have the dragon heating up the pool of lava or something similar? Izaazie a dit : @4976189 - I'm not fimilar with the art so it's hard for me to comment on that other than it's cute. The gameplay is fun and plays smoothly at the beginning, but to get to one hole you need to turnaround (which is a lot less fun) and to get to the other you need to walljump the trampoline offscreen, which is no fun either. The two smaller trampoline grounds and circle of ice don't make much sense, and the ice to the left of the mouse spawn isn't aligned to anything. @4968619 - There are a lot of maps like this around, this is nothing new. Cndalr a dit : @4914035 - The fact the entire map is sync based means surviving will be a big problem for some people when playing, especially as the clouds despawn. |

Lanaru a dit : I love the choko map, but why isn't the holes just ordinary? I would change that. Make the hole&cheese non foreground too, it looks better when mice stand there. The wood map isn't as good, its not that fun or easy for the sham to build on upwards scroll maps. Same thing with hole&cheese as on the choko map and this will look good though. :p Nice maps! |

Sorry this thread has been neglected a little :( I'll try to keep ontop of it now, but it's nice to see I haven't been the only one giving feedback. Lanaru a dit : The chocolate map has an interesting style, but it's not particularly pretty and ends up confusing. The gameplay is just walljumping which isn't particularly fun. The wood map is a lot more interesting, the gameplay can be soloed and there's plenty of places for the shaman to build from for the mice that can't do it, the wooden background is interesting and less confusing than the chocolate map. My only complaint is how the majority of the map is just nothingness and it's pretty boring for the shaman to build such a large bridge for the mice to climb. Xinaug a dit : The art in this map isn't particularly great, it's recognisable even though it's just a silhouette, although Monstercat isn't the most-known thing in the world. Gameplay is lacking a lot though, the collision on the different parts of the art is inconsistent and confusing, and walljumping art or bouncing on trampolines isn't very interesting. Sherrwagn a dit : I commented on this in my last P5 review. Uskil a dit : We've spoken about the Tarzan map ingame since. The Simpsons map has great art as all of your maps do, although the gameplay is nothing more than running side to side which is what makes this map fall. :( I enjoy the concept of the portal map a lot but it can be solved easily with just portals, possibly also a balloon, cloud, or red anchored plank underneath the cheese. This makes the gameplay fall a lot. Wecwec a dit : The rain broke all but one time I played this map and just got stuck, this map is big but there's not terribly much to it, the decorations are pretty sparse and a lot of the map is just single solid colours. Still beautiful like most of your other maps though! Bradmouser a dit : Without seeing the mechanism behind it or the way it'd be used in a given map, it's hard to comment on this. Bloomthedoll a dit : Cute art and colour scheme with Chikorita. This is pretty cool art for a proof of concept but as a map it's lacking so I can't really give feedback on it. |
