Why are people making such a big deal out of the steam players? |

Know whats getting on my nerves? When people rant about how awful steam players are. And when I try to say its not a big deal they say " ITS A STEAM NO0B LOL". Its just dumb and annoying. So what if there a little annoying at first? We might realized that they aren't so bad after all! Anyway do you guys feel the same? |

All the reviews on Steam are of people telling everyone to stay far away from the game at all costs because of the toxic and aggressive community. |

I can feel that way, since they just started. Of course, when you first start, you don't know how to do things such as WallJumping or attaching B Nails. We sometimes are a little annoying every once and while. Most of the Steam Players I meet are actually really nice, so perhaps the community just needs to lighten up a little. |

What Steam users think of you; "the community is not very forgiving to new players.." "Yet another great game ruined by a horrible community. Never play." "4/10 - I would recommend for kids who can't read the awful comments in the forums/chat." "Unfortunately this is overshadowed by a horrible community, " "Only problem is that the community is toxic as hell and that's why I have to give a negative review :c" "Same boring stuff over and over combined with a community full of ♥♥♥♥♥." No cherry picking done at all. Those are snippets of each and every negative review available without hitting "Load More Reviews" or changing the order they're shown in. |

Well honestly I can see where the angry reviews are coming from. I saw people just being jerks to steam players. |

ever since around 2012 or 2013 it really has became aggressive... at least around 2011 it was still really friendly. I don't understand why either. People are just so caught up in the fast pacing of shaman building/ being a "pro" that they really have no heart or soul to help someone. And talking about the cafe sometimes.. Honestly though 801 can help to reduce it by adding more filters or do some strict moderating, this is not really their fault. Community attitude determines from the players themselves. Especially in the internet, there is really not much control over the player's emotions. |

I have probably seen 30 steam players in-game say they were quitting the game because of the rude people. It's kinda sad since it's fun having new people around and seeing them learn/help them learn how to play. |

techtriostep a dit : No, bullshit; it was even worse. It's better now. Dunno what la la land of a room you played in but since most of the game was played by 4chan people still in 2011, there was a lot of vulgarity. techtriostep a dit : You can't really ban people for being rude, so damn right it's not A801's fault. And when considering the kinds of games are on Steam, I seriously doubt a "fuck" or two is the least of someone's concerns. The community is toxic and annoying because of the amount of kids. Nobody wants to deal with it if they can make the choice to. |

I feel over-protective of this game, I wanted to tell my friends about Steam, but I then realized they might start playing Transformice, and I don't want that. It's MY game. (Not literally, By "My game" I mean out of me and the people I know, only I play it, so I call it my game. don't ask why.) It's my thing to be addicted to it, to play it, not my friends. When I played Animal Jam, told my friends, half of the school started playing Animal Jam. This will not happen with Transformice. I need something for myself, a game, and this is it. Non of my friends or people I know play it. Which is a good thing, because when I'm absent, I'd get a message saying "WHY WERE YOU NOT AT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!??????" So immature. I'm a bit upset that people on Steam will be playing it, (idk why) but I'm not against them. I'm against the Steam players who are like "This community is shit!" "This game sucks!" Come on, really? This community is amazing. And so is this game. I'm fed up with the bad comments, if they don't like the chat, they can make their own chat. They could just hang out with friends. And the navigation bar is wonderful, and not completely unorganized. (I'm sorry, I'm fed up with everything, I'm stressed because of a project, and because of exams, I'm just having a horrible 2015. I wish 2014 was back...) Dernière modification le 1422920340000 |

I wish I was surprised, but I'm not. Even if Atelier can't ban for insults, it doesn't mean they have to ignore it completely. I know they're a small team, but something needs to change. Even the current tutorial teaches new players nothing, so they're chased off the game by people who can't handle somebody who's new to shamming. Like, if players just volunteered to hold training sessions in special rooms or... something to that idea, with a Moderator watching the event / announcing what room it'd be in, it'd be something, you know? Or even, if nothing else, a post on the main site that welcomes new players and links them to the actual tutorial page. I don't see any special increase in players or profit for Transformice at this rate. The game elements are repetitive and there's no true "solo" mode, so there's no real motivation to stick around and learn the controls. Transformice's player community is just... horrible sometimes. The steam reviews are in the right to post such comments; It doesn't sound very good when you have to tell them "just ignore this big part of the game (ex. the entire chat), and you'll be okay!" |

vanitasu a dit : If you think about TFM as an actual MMO, one of the best ways to let new players test the waters is to only allow them to enter special rooms just for those new players. There will not be any of the "pros" around to criticize them harshly on their shamaning. Once players get a certain amount of cheese or get into a high enough level, they can go into any room they want. I know that sometimes people like to make their friends make an account and play the game, so there could be an option to opt-out of the special rooms on the first login. Something like this won't solve everything, but it can solve one of the bigger problems in the community. |

Truthfully, I used to be against the idea of specialized rooms for x stat but I think it's really starting to become a smart idea. That'd also help deal with the toxic community. This, paired with an actual decent tutorial, could save this little experiment called Steam. |

How about you hire mods that will actually be online so we don't have such a toxic community? Or you can, you know, continue to only promote your friends. |

Sinnwidrig a dit : Correct me if I'm wrong, but; Mods have better things to do than sit around on a mouse game waiting for problems to fix. They deal with work and all that, and most of them already have careers. Besides, if a mod doesn't reply to you, then they're probably busy with another ton of complaints. Considering that there are over THIRTY THOUSAND people playing and there can be less than fifteen mods online. Coming to my point, moderators unfortunately have stuff they need to deal with in real life rather than internet.. which is all pixels. Literally. |

Using the excuse that the mods don't have time to deal with a toxic community and bullying within said community proves absolutely nothing other than the need for more mods. |

It's normal. I've seen it happen all the time when a game that has been released elsewhere gets put on steam. The old timers get annoyed at all the newbies and will complain about the influx of new players. It'll pass eventually when the new players settle in or quit out of boredom. It's not just tfm. |

I ended up switching to the international English from English only. I've been lucky and met much nicer people on those servers. I'm ashamed of my fellow countrymen here in the US if so many are as rude as they have been to me. Anyway, enjoying the game and learning to play. People have been very patient with me. I'm an older player, age wise not playing this game, and the people on English international have been really sweet. |
