Wasn't the complaint people who didn't have furs couldn't vote?
People complained how it was a cash grab, blah blah blah... if you bought a fur just so you could run in a pixel election, that's on nobody but you. It's not like you were held at gunpoint to buy it and participate in the election.

I'm just going to requote this.

The election isn't "ruined." Merely opened to more people.

It can be for people that were actually having fun with it, yesterday every mayor could cast a single vote, now it's back to 1 vote per fur. And this is both confusing and annoying to be honest. I was sure to win these elections but now with all the people that voted me added just 1 vote to me, and other players able to give 20 votes it's kinda a no game for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I beg to differ, this election is ruined by sudden changes that falsed it. For some player this was a nice addiction to just have fun. But in these conditions it's just stressful.

It's not the "Buy a fur" thing that bothers me, but the huge confusion.

Every person can only cast 1 vote. Only people with furs and colors can cast votes, its just for fun calm down.

Not sure about that, in this very moment in my server there are something like 50+ votes between all candidates, and just 30 mayors. as you can see something is not going properly.
Pointing out that something is not working as it should have been it's something absolutely normal, nobody is cryin or making a riot because of that, but problems have to be somehow reported, am i right?

Changed the title for now so at least it can be about the voting change.

I haven't noticed any effects as staff members are not supposed to meddle with elections beyond moderating 'bad' slogans, but aren't votes 'weighed' based on how many furs/colors you own? And if so, doesn't that mean that players that do not actually own these furs or colors actually have a relatively small impact on the elections?

I'm just asking questions since clearly I'm not too informed about the system or whatever changed to it recently.

i just dont like that they changed this. now election fucked up for me.

^According to this we have 3 scenarios.

1) Somebody figured out how to glitch votes.
2) People who voted yesterday had only 1 vote to cast, and today every fur or colour add a vote to the voters.
3) Now everyone can vote, including not mayors.

I honestly can't understand why everyone is so upset about this election feature, winning or losing.
If you win, you get;
1. Absolutely no say over anything, ever, because it's just for fun.
2. No rewards except your name on the election board, because it's just for fun.
3. No power over anyone or anything, because it's just for fun.
4. No special treatment, because it's just for fun.

My point is that there's absolutely no benefit or privilege you get from winning.
If you lose, you pretty much get the same thing the winners get. Which is nothing.

It'd only be fun if you enjoy cheaters prevailing. Just like every leaderboard we have for this game. Apathy ensues.

I find the entire election implementation to be stupid, honestly. I don't like it at all.
They're trying to make everyone happy by making it open for all players.

You find it screwed up, others find it improved.
You find it unfair that it keeps screwing up, players found it unfair that they couldn't participate.
Do you see the pattern? You can't judge people just because you feel differently. So, like you said, just because you think something doesn't make the thoughts of others irrelevant.
