Hello shamans! We would like to announce that Feniksboy#0000 has been accepted as a new recruit to the Spiritual Team! We are excited to have him on board. Checkpoint! Results from Previous Review: High Difficulty Maps (6-10): Accepted: Feniksboy#0000: @7809944 - Difficulty 9 - Even if this map doesn’t have a unique concept, its gameplay is still more intriguing and challenging than it looks. While it can still be completed with v swings, the shaman has to be creative and skilled enough in order to overcome it. Since this map offers an abundance of different solutions and is quite balanced, it is fit to be a part of the spiritual rotation. Rejected: Korone#4627: @7799137 - This map has a balanced, unique, and concise concept, but it is unclear whether or not there will be enough solutions available. The gameplay is still enjoyable, but if it lacks the innovation needed for players, it may not be worth adding to spiritual. Dextech#0000: @3783603 - The stabilization/base building gameplay on this map is interesting, even if it’s not a particularly novel idea. However, solutions cannot vary very much because the most reliable way to complete this map is with the use of v swings, and the structure of the layout results in builds that have the same pathing. Condensation#0000: @7798919 - Assuming this map was built for no-b, it seems that most if not all solutions are going to rely on balloons. This only worsens the already limited solution diversity that the map has. Nevertheless, the gameplay has nothing unique or exciting to offer, so there’s no reason to accept this map for spiritual. Yor#4990: @7789227 - The content on this map seems to be balanced as well as being engaging and innovative for players. However, the gameplay isn’t very unique since it relies too much on the use of v swings. Yor#4990: @7803065 - This map has an interesting dynamic ground-monorail concept. It’s not a particularly new idea, but it is engaging and holds potential for much innovation. While the gameplay does seem balanced, there are certain solutions that are easier to pull off. Additionally, the white curved ground on the map can be confusing since mice can pass through it, even though anti-clouds typically don’t allow that to happen. Numlk#8907: @7696856 - It’s nice that this map encourages the use of dynamic builds. Although the gameplay seems to be entertaining and balanced, it doesn’t offer anything new for spiritual. This particular concept has already been better developed by another map in rotation: @6168632. Hackdesamba#0000: @7804826 - This map can be good for inexperienced players who want to experiment with v swings, but unfortunately the content offers far from anything unique. Furthermore, it is pointless to make the cheese and hole grounds anticloud as doing that only reduces the number of solutions available on the map. Lastly, how balanced the gameplay is on this map is rather dubious. Either way, this map is too flawed to be considered being added to spiritual. Hackdesamba#0000: @7806691 - The content on this map could be interesting for inexperienced players, but it is by no means anything new; it can easily be solved using v swings, balloons, or other solutions that are already commonly used. Additionally, the gameplay is unbalanced since balloon solutions in particular take no effort to pull off. Finally, the apples on this map can cause confusion to the shaman since they do not appear to be b’d in place when in fact they are. Hackdesamba#0000: @7807256 - The positioning of the cheese on this design makes the map take more than just a simple v swing to solve. However, that’s about the only positive thing that can be said - the fact is, the concept does not offer any unique content. Furthermore, since no grounds exist on the left side, there is no reason to consider other types of solutions that don’t involve some large v swing. This flaw only makes the gameplay more monosolution and lacking in potential innovation. Low Difficulty Maps (1-5): None Accepted Rejected: Hackdesamba#0000: @7804173 - As a low difficulty cage, this could be engaging for inexperienced players. However, there is nothing unique or new to see from the content on this map. Additionally, the gameplay is unbalanced since it is easier to guide mice along the top route of the level rather than having them go beneath the cage. The design has a good aesthetic, but the map’s flaws and lack of originality prevents it from being accepted. All maps since the last checkpoint have been approved for participation in the next review. For anyone who wants to contribute to future reviews with the Spiritual Team, well now you can! Random Build of the Month: February 2021 Shaman: Lilith#0123 | Map author: Force_Shaman#0000 | Map code: @4372606 The "Random Build Of The Month" is a screenshot of a random player solution on any spiritual / divinity / other shaman map. It's meant for players who are searching for an inspiration for their solutions / buildings.Hello everyone, unfortunately we have to report that Bambam#4662 is taking a leave from Transformice, and by extension, is resigning from the Spiritual Team. We wish her well in her future endeavors and we hope to see her again someday soon. On a good note though, we are welcoming Arnees#0000 back to the team! Map Submission: @7822908 Checkpoint! Results from Previous Review: High Difficulty Maps (6-10): Accepted: Feniksboy#0000: @7813993 - Difficulty 9 - This map has undergone a design change, which has made the concept pretty solid and balanced by reducing practicality of swings and encourages players to use dynamic solutions. The map allows for a variety of creative solutions making it encouraging for spiritual rotation, even though some of the challenges aren't new when it comes to spiritual standards. Arnees#0000: @7819713 - Difficulty 9 - This map has a lot of room and possibilities for the shaman to build, however, the builds for both the left and top part of the map need to fit true a relatively small gap. This creates a unique challenge that requires ingenious solutions. Arnees#0000: @7817520 - Difficulty 9 - This map fills in a bridge challenge that spiritual was missing. With the addition of acid grounds it can finally be realized allowing for a variety of fun solutions. While there is an offscreen ground, this help keeps builds from disappearing. Rejected: Feniksboy#0000: @7812496 - The open space on this map gives the shaman different ways to execute solutions, making it good for innovation and experimentation. However, the builds themselves are not inherently new, and the amount of possible solutions seems limited. Due to the map’s layout most builds would look exactly the same at the end even if the shaman used different solutions. Also, building for the hole is uninteresting compared to the map’s other objectives. Xaxadoooooo#0000: @7804962 - The acid/cloud ground concept on this map makes the experience quite challenging and feel rather unique - and it seems balanced for what it has to offer. However, as interesting as this idea is, the design isn't built for exciting and diverse gameplay. You are forced to build linearly, which cripples this map's chances of being innovative for players. This map does hold potential for spiritual rotation considering its novelty, but it first needs to be rebuilt with a better design to accommodate for different building experiences than just a select few. Arnees#0000: @7819102 - Even though this map has a lot of space to build, it has only one solid reachable ground for the shaman to begin their build. This results in the same solution getting used, which isn't even unique to begin with. With this in mind, it's clear that the map is unbalanced and is fairly monosolution. Arnees#0000: @7819424 - This map has an interesting concept with lots of possible solutions and space for innovation, but sadly, there also lies a problem in that. While you can use neat dynamic bridge builds to complete the map, you can also make cheap solutions like box or balloon spamming which make the gameplay quite unbalanced. Yinjackson#0000: @7820269 - This map has an innovative design since there are quite a diversity of builds that you can make. The gameplay doesn't seem so unbalanced, although it is a bit easier to work with a swing build over the water rather than with a dynamic solution. Still, this map is not especially new, nor is it particularly exciting. Low Difficulty Maps (1-5): Accepted: Xaxadoooooo#0000: @7804647 - Difficulty 4 - The placement of the acid anticloud grounds allows for multiple bridge paths. While slightly generic, the build has to be placed skillfully and precisely to avoid deaths, allowing an interesting challenge for newer shams. Newen#6196: @7808293 - Difficulty 5 - The spinnable acid grounds make for a pretty unique and fun concept. Even though the map is short, the acid grounds can affect solutions and spur innovation as a result. The restriction of b only encourages this further. Rejected: Newen#6196: @7704070 - As a low diff this map doesn't really have a unique design, but it is original in that it has multicheeses as objectives. However, the gameplay is unbalanced since building for the bottom right cheese can be more difficult than building to the top right cheese. Another issue is that the map can partially be soloed by mice considering the abundance of grounds. To top it off, the building concept itself doesn't have anything new to offer. Overall, there's no reason to accept this map. Newen#6196: @7809676 - The map concept is fairly unique to say the least, and the design is open-ended given the multipath ground layout. However, the major flaw with the map is that the cheeses are placed in a way that doesn't promote balanced gameplay; it makes less sense to go through the trouble of building down for the bottom right cheese when the top right cheese is much closer. As a result, this can make the bottom part of the map feel invalidated for a lot of players. All maps since the last checkpoint have been approved for participation in the next review.
