I'm playing Transformice for almost 3 years now, skills being removed in vanilla has a big impact on me. If the skills wont go back in vanilla then i have to quit, i dont know. i just love it so much and i hated the fact of it being removed. Im still hoping they will add the skills in vanilla again. |

people are complaining about people not knowing how to build properly and beginners not learning properly but honestly, most people on the game can't build for sht in any case. The learning curve for shamming is so steep and tfm doesn't have a proper tutorial. If people need to use skills in order to get saves then let them; what difference does it make to you? You still get the cheese right? In fact, I'd argue that it improves the game because people can actually make their tape and big plank builds and you can get the cheese faster. I played a little today, and I couldn't get cheese on any of the maps during other's turns. You can't just force people to git gud for some arbitrary reason; if they actually want to improve at shamming then they will and they can. There's no need to remove skills from vanilla in order to 'FORCE' people to. And if you want to use vanilla without skills... then dont use skills.... Its as simple as that.... you don't have to use them if you don't want to. In addition, vanilla mode and skills are, personally, for me 90% of why I play this game. I find it more fun and I can wait less during turns, and get more saves, yes. If I want a challenge then I go to #divinity or normal. And for me personally, being able to use the apple/cloud during hard mode helped me learn improve at shamming so much, and allowed for some really creative builds. Honestly, we all know that vanilla is mostly about farming and if they remove skills then people won't be able to farm as efficiently. And the price of items in the shop is so crazy high, how tf can you expect people to afford things w/o farming in vanilla? tl;dr I want skills back and if they don't come back I won't be playing this game anymore. Some vanilla maps are equally as difficult as normal room maps, I don't see why the skills should be permanently removed from vanilla. The newbies struggle enough already and older players start avoiding vanilla too because it's difficult to play. |

Personally, I think certain skills should still be able to be used. It IS where new players go to, after all. - I don't think ice, teleporters, or hearts should be allowed, those can bring in favers as someone mentioned before. Favers are generally not very nice, and will give new players a bad impression. I think the other skills should be A-OK. If TFM actually wants real Vanilla, they should make a "Classic" gamemode which is Vanilla right now pretty much. |

... I think removing skills from vanilla is a very nice idea. Send all farmers to normal rooms (or dead music rooms), finally farmers will start learning how to properly shaman, and pro bootcampers will finally have favo-free vanilla for farming firsts. Sounds like a real game changer.. Also, it woould be nice to remove "ice cube" from vanilla mode, because when I started playing transformice, it wasn't there, and it was much funnier without "ice cube" skill. I think it's a bad move to have skills being removed from vanilla. /NoSupport Skills have been an essential part of how you play the game for the majority of transformice's existence. No it wasn't always like that but for the gameplay to return to the ye olden days you must first remove the new gameplay mechanic as it builds upon the already existing gameplay, that's not going to happen, skills are here to stay and while things have been different in the past it is the core gameplay now. Vanilla is currently used by many people because it's the easiest (most predictable) mode and perfect for newbies. Building without skills are the "new hardmode". You have the option to not use skills if you feel you're up for it but don't force your standards onto everyone else. A much better option would have been a new shaman mode (hard divinity/godlike) that don't allow skills or arrows for that matter. This mode will give potential for new titles, perhaps adding some unique fashion items you can only get by collecting saves from a particular shaman mode. Naturally this is how divine mode should have been from the start but now when skills have been allowed for it for so long I don't think it's a good idea to change the premise for it. I see that some are of the opinion that shamans need to learn basic physics before being "worthy" of accomplishment. With the new premise of skills I find this mindset ridiculous. There is no problem with shamans first having to learn how to build "good" once they start to advance to higher modes. If you can't build without the b nail, stay in normal. If you don't understand how the physics of the game works, don't go divine and so on. You are able to practice all of this in normal mode but without practice you are going to perform badly at first once you make the transition into a harder mode. Most games work like this. If you want to play easy you are free to stay in normal but are then granted the titles for your prefered mode (easy). Also make totems available for normal shamans too. It's already the "easy mode". Hard mode is supposed to be harder than normal, crazy I know right, and with skills allowed in hardmode totems make little sense and only gives the hard mode shaman an even easier time. If anything totems should be removed from hard mode. If they wanted to make Vanilla more old timey they should have added back "all" the old maps that are nostalgic to <oldie mice> and removed consumables. Let us hope this change is only temporary and vanilla will go back to normal soon enough. Dernière modification le 1518155580000 |

Since shaman skills have now returned to Vanilla, i'm gonna go ahead and lock this, as it's now irrelevant ^^ |
