Queen of the Rooks – Rank that is usually only bestowed upon the female leader of the gang, most of the time partner of current Ringleader. Rank itself has a shaky history with everything from inner revolutions to thieving sprees to countless destroyed taverns sewn into it. First mentioned and used in generation of Serel Delavar when it was given to Fiona “Valley Flower” Lenard, master thief and later a wife of Serel. In latest generations of the Rooks this title most of the time signified the most cunning or most proficient female member of the gang. Third generation which was officially splitting point of Rooks into Rooks of Hangman Tree (small offshoot of the gang led for most of the part by T'rael Vulf) and Rooks of Freedom (the beginning of gang as we know today) also was the single only generation without Queen rank. At the time of Fourth Five'ar (20 years later after gang split) the rank was reinstated after Carena the Cruel took over the gang with a dozen of her most elite and trusted soldiers. Later in that generation, Beryl Delavar, granddaughter of Serel challenged Carena to “Trial of Flight and Steel” for the rights to rank and won. One of the decrees Beryl established was that every Queen after her will be elected depending on the prowess and contributions to the Rooks. Sixth generation of the Queen who was Tilera of Splendor will be remembered for the way she followed the rule of contribution to the gang. To this day, she will be famous for being one of two people who successfully managed to steal from the Vault of Eternal Darkness and both escape and survive afterwards. Seventh and current generation Queen rank belongs to Honey the Silverwarm, person who some people affectionatelly refers to as the Mother of the Gang as shown by her helping and contributing to the whole wellbeing and fine running of the Rooks as they are now. Lord of Chains – Rank and the name taken by Nick Sullivan of Ord'Ros Clan after joining Rooks. Former swordsman of high prowess and captain of the guards he stumbled upon the Feather after being betrayed by his close acquaintances and on the run from the hired blades from other prominent members of Ord'Ros. At the first glance he was not inclined to believe that street gang no matter how big will be able to do anything against the ones who were hot on his trail, members of the Snake Eyes clan of elite assassins. But next morning when they finally cornered him in the empty marketplace in the small town of Shimmerbright last thing Nick expected were small group of Rooks coming to his aid and clashing blades with far more advanced enemies than they were. Not only that, but winning and managing to defend the former guard captain from any injury. At that moment as following the honor system from the Isles he swore the fealty to current leaders of Rooks and became one of their most trusted lieutenants over time due to his loyalty, knowledge of military tactics and down to earth behavior that allowed him to befriend and inspire those around him. As of current time in the history, Lord of Chains is a mixed rank of being advisor, keeper of peace and justice and all the other bits and pieces that involves helping with the gang matters. From the day he traded his guard captain armor for the leather armor with multiple chains of various metals designed for combat and a Rook insignia he was truly a new man and example to many new arrivals. The Ship Captain – Brave pirate captain, very successful smuggler and heart breaker all wrapped in one cute as a button and charismatic personality. Han'ah of Blue Mountains, sister of Cyrill the Dragonwing followed the reign upon the seas of Continent that her family set in generations before she was born. Starting with Nightingale, ship passed down through her family tree she assembled her first crew at around the same time when Tilera was almost done with her rule as the Queen of Rooks. As the fate willed it, these two females crossed each others path long enough to make an alliance of sorts, with Rooks financing some of the naval endeavors, namely the new war frigate that was refered collectively as Bird of Prey, the new heavy hitter of the seas whereas Han'ah and her crew were always at the distance enough to help out with well placed crossbow bolt or quick transporation over the big blue if need was for such. After the generation switch to the Seventh one, she decided to stay in close contact with Rooks. And very soon it paid off big time after one of the local governors of Pale Coast decided to try and blast Bird of Prey out of the water as soon as she came in close vicinity of his heavily armed fort. That same day she received her status as one of the greatest captains that ever lived after managing to defeat armada of governors ships with not as much as tear on her sails. With the help of some high ranking Rooks who provided her ship with weaponry way advanced for the times and the crew power she broke through the blockade of warships and took the fort as her land headquarters. From that point forward in time, she usually splits her time between sailing across the seas looking to meet some trouble and training the new recruits of Rooks the best use of pistol and dagger combination fighting, signature style of hers adopted and sharpened after all the naval battles. As of current time, she is honored member of the Rooks and friend of one and all in the Feather occassionally taking upon herself to help leaders with in tribe relations and dealings. Coordinator - Rank usually bestowed upon the gang members who are responsible for more advanced and fine tuned functions of the gang such as arranging weapon shipments and all the other kind of trading, acting as mentors and trainers for people of a basic to regular skill level and performing other functions that allows for a smooth glide of gang day-to-day activity. Sometimes this rank is also entrusted to act as the members of more sensitive operations, usually in small groups. After 7th Ringleader decided to make contacts with Guild of Trade and Ring of Blades, two most famous organisations in the Continent responsible for respectably all barter and mercenary work quite a few Coordinators are now usually seen leading their charges in the projects that benefits both the Rooks and one of the aforementioned Guilds at the same time. One of the Coordinators usually referred to as the Spymaster has the main responsibility of maintaining and expanding the network of spies all across the Continent and another one just known as the Face deals with everything that involves unofficial deals that are usually done in the shadows or behind closed doors, such as dealing with other gangs of Continent or any of the deals that would revolve around bribes, intimidation or persuasion. Rook – One of the core ranks of the gang, it is given to those who proved themselves in the field of duty or by going above and beyond. Honorific rank that probably has roots deep in the history of the gang, possibly dating back as far as the Serel Delavar and his Book. Definition of this rank was expanded and possibly even changed a little bit in time of 5th Generation in the sense that this rank was now also a inside force of soldiers usually under control of a higher rank specifically designated to do that. As many lore scholars agree, this change was most likely caused by the fact that all the generations of Ringleaders at one or the other point of their rule were worried about someone starting the coup or rival gangs trying to take over in many various ways, many of them being force related. Thus, at the time of 7th Generation this rank is still a very peculiar mix of honor and responsibility, which is still somehow works quite well. Altho the reason for that might be that there was not much of emergencies that actually required for the gang to use their full fighting potential and the fact that becoming Rook at the current generation does not automatically mean that they will have to be the part of fighting force to start with. Which as many agreed after was possibly the advancement that this rank needed and which made much more people to try and put effort in hopes of receiving it. Lookout – The rank that underwent lots of changes throughout all the seven generations of Rooks. Originally they started as those people who would stand around the territory of the Feather or any previous headquarters and watch for any threat that would possibly be arising from any of the sides. In the later generations it evolved into the concept of people who would keep watch for kinds of threats or bad situations happening inside rather than outside the gang. That of course did not mean that they were not still a guards for Rooks but that meant that they evolved as the rank to read both their surroundings and people around them to the extent that some of them were also quite a proficient pathfinders when there was such a need. And obviously enough it really helped for those who decided to be rogues or try their hand in the spy corps at any point of their allegiance to the gang serving as the side activity for them to hone their skills. As of 7th Generation all the Lookouts usually have one of the Generals as their mentor who usually can help them and teach them something that they feel might improve the abilities of people that carry this rank. And in the latest generation Lookouts can also sometimes be taken on the missions by Coordinators if it is deemed that their current group needs more particular set of skills which can be completed with having one of the lookouts on their team. Sometimes that also is done without an order and for the sake of friendship and willingness to help them and the gang too. Dernière modification le 1495130160000 |

Gem of the North - Siluvia Melanor always dreamed of grand adventures, towers reaching the sky, dragons and griffins roaming the sky and land full of mysteries as far as the eye could see. That was probably one of the reasons that influenced her decision to train as the Crystal Mage, other one being an unending call from the lands that stretched all the way beyond the mountain range near her home town of Elumar. Starting as the apprentice of the unnamed wizard in her town, she slowly but steadily learned everything that made Crystal Mages special. Just in a few years she have been able to manipulate crystals and gemstones to channel her magical power for many wondrous effects, ranging from healing wounds to calling down the magical storms. She graduated from an apprentice to a full fledged mage in nearly a record time (approximately 2 years) and chose opal as her signature gem during the initiation ceremony. And after that, by her decision, it was time to travel the Continent and see all the wondrous and amazing things it had to offer. Soon enough into her travels, rumors started to spread about kind and beautiful traveling mage who never refused to help anyone who needed it and who could be equally imposing and generous without much effort on her part. While she was visiting the capital city, almost like by the finger of fate, her paths crossed with the couple of people who just happened to be leader and co-leader of 7th Generation Rooks. Most likely, fate decided to be extra funny that day because they were also going for the same Adventurers Guild contract which involved almost routine sounding check of the cave some ways from the city. After short discussion all three of them decided to join forces and split the loot very fairly (apparently Ithil Silvermoon and his idea of fair share was 80 percent to him and another 20 to others). When they actually made to the location, there was a big surprise waiting for them, namely an old and massive wyvern who decided that three adventurers can either run and be used as his snack before lunch. What he did not expect was the fact that they would decide to fight back. Crystal missiles started sprouting all over the cave walls, fireballs scorched the air itself and sword clashing against the scales sang out. Despite the age and experience, wyvern was not even a close match for three people that were so powerful. In the desperate last bid for victory, he tried to bring the cave down on both of him and his rivals, but it failed when Ithil Silvermoon decided to launch his own final solution and activated his Art:Inferno Clock alongside Siluvias ultimate skill creating double skill of immense power, Art: Infernal Gemstone Burst. It was enough to singlehandedly reduce the wyvern into the pile of dust and just like that, with two out of three adventurers reaching their exhaustion point, it was over. After coming back to Capital, both Honey and Ithil decided to give all the reward money to a female mage who was more happy about the fact that she found two new friends (and unknowingly, alies) from this adventure. Few days later she arrived to the Feather tavern and that was the same time when Ithil referred to her as the Gem of the North for the very first time and that was the origins of her title after joining the gang as the very special and dear to all member. The Heart Marksman - Man with a mysterious past and motives with charm and charisma to boot. Traveling gunslinger, master of long range fighting and for a short while, one of the guards who served in the group of Nick Sullivan. After years and years of traveling the continent, even he himself forgot the name he once had and instead prefers to only be known by the title of which no one remembers the origins of at the current time. Ithil Silvermoon met this person after they were trying to find out what happened to Sullivan after he disbanded the guards and went into hiding. Assuming at first that this stranger had something to do with a disappearance of his former captain, Marksman was not one bit happy about it and instead of a greeting words, arrows started flying, with the grace and speed of nearly inhuman proportions. But where simple person would have been turned into minced meat on the spot, Ithil just managed to break both through unrelenting rain of arrows and a belief that any harm have befell Sullivan at his hand. As soon as the dust from the fight have cleared and Marksman was more willing to listen, Ithil have recited him all the story of what happened to Sullivan from the time when he last seen his former captain. As soon as the final word of the story have been spoken and both involved decided to go their separate ways, almost like out of a thin air, assassins of the same group that tried to kill Nick Sullivan before started appearing. It was most definitely an ambush as the leader of that group felt the need to point out before just ordering his fighters to charge. And just like that, he made one of the worst mistakes of his life. Because not a split second later, Marksman managed to load his bow with four arrows and pierce skulls of first few enemies which made remaining enemies to try and be a bit more careful around him. Not that it mattered because Ithil just covered the whole clearing with fire, effectively scorching remaining enemies on the spot. Leader of the group tried to run away very honorably, but he did not know one important fact about how fast arrows could fly and obviously enough got butterfly pinned to the tree. Looking through the pockets of a dead enemy leader to find any clues why they have been attacked, Ithil managed to find the contract on all the people who used to be in the squad of Nick Sullivan in the past. Hearing that, leader of the Rooks decided to ask the Marksman to join him and by proxy, Sullivan again to make sure that he does not have any troubles with assassins trying to hunt him down. Turns out that was an offer Marksman was glad to accept both because he wanted to once again serve as the part of Sullivans group and he also wanted to train people in the proper long range fighting. |
