The average player can blow off easily a veteran player with spas trust me. It needs to be nerfed either way FINAL. The gun is too popular and too many new players choose the gun and stay with it for eternity rather than trying out new weapons. Its bad for playstyles as contributes to mindless playing. Very few techniques used. There are all basic techniques can be used for any gun and playstyle. I cannot stress how much gun diversity there would be if it was nerfed. People will still use it but not as much. So YES spas needs to be nerfed, not all players have advanced conjuration skills, and even so every time is see an above average player with spas, they're still very capable of having a 50% chance of killing me. Unless you are busy, they can't kill you easily, average SPAS 12 for me is just those guys running straight towards you and they are killed easy, once you are safe behind your conjuration, they usually shoot and hope they kill you which doesn't work at all. Fast SPAS 12 users cause more problem since they are very fast, if it's the only thing they can do, just wait them at a good spot. Fact is they increased the clip size (4 > 6) while they lowered the damage (4 > 3) , they should bring back the old clip size, this is how the first version of the SPAS 12 is (without 3/4 of the shots being harmless of course) . The SPAS 12 should destroy anyone at his range, it's a shotgun after all, with the current clip size, you can kill 2 players (don't miss ! ) . The old ? Well you can kill one guy that's all, the weapon is 3-shots-kill but the fourth shot allow you to miss one time. Sure 6 shots on a single player is a lot but I doubt it's the case with 4 shots, you need to be really close if you don't want to reload. I would like to see a better UMP 45, I have no problem with damage, firerate and accuracy, only with the clip size, they should add 2 extra shots. I have to think lowering the clip to 18 and make the weapon unable to kill in one clip a choice they made at the very last moment, why ? Because the current clip size is 18 and damage per shot is 2, 18 x 2 = 36. With a clip size of 20, 20 x 2 = 40, exactly a 40 DPC and a better looking number (it's all opinion here) . +supergrunt a dit : The spas-12 was not used because nobody knew how to use it properly. CJS and conj tech was scarce or nonexistent so nobody could ever get close with the gun. I did not use the gun because I had no idea how to use it. Now even I could use the gun and get a massive killstreak with hardly any effort. With today's group of players there are people going around terrorizing spawns with how easily this gun can kill players even without the user aiming that well. People keep talking about reducing the damage per clip to stop it from killing so many players but then this would stop players from using the gun. I do not want to stop players from using the spas-12 entirely, just to control how abused this weapon is. Too many players are using the weapon just because its way too easy to walk up to a player and kill them by spam clicking, or even shooting the weapon from far away and getting 20 dps (the average dps for all primary weapons) while hardly aiming at their target. Spas-12 should destroy only someone at close range, not far range as well. This just makes it way too broken. The same problem is with the MP5, people are just using it at far range and chipping off way too much damage out of luck. I proposed in my thread we reduce the damage to near where it was before it was buffed (about 3 to 3.3) but increase the number of shots it had, so that spasers would not be discouraged from using the weapon because of a nerf to damage per clip. The main problem people had with spas-12 was that it couldn't kill in one clip, not that it didn't do enough damage; that's why nobody used it and it was the joke gun of the game. Atelier buffed the wrong part of the gun and now its totally abused I'm not being hypocritical because I use the M40 A5 and I think it needs a nerf too because its starting to get abused by spas-12 players claiming to try out new weapons, but then just end up playing the same way anyway With the UMP-45 I don't remember clearly but I did describe that it should have a smaller clip but be more powerful in DPS than MP5 at least. So it would grant players the ability to damage even more but reward players for shooting accurately. With SPAS-12 I said keep it a three shot kill (barely) but I tweaked the stats so that spas players were rewarded for being more careful with their shots rather than spammy. e.g. 3.4 damage per pellet is barely 3 shots per kill (13.6 per full shot) but the spas had 7 bullets instead of 6. Or nerf it just below three shots per kill (3.3 damage per pellet) thus restricting spas to 1 player killed per clip, unless the spas user combined the secondary weapon to finish off the already weakened enemy, thus encouraging both careful use of bullets AND secondary weapon choice. I think you should all go back and take a look through this thread to see how I was thinking about every weapon to encourage players to use them more. Come on people are lazy, get close and shoot is the only you have to do and that was easy at the time from above when you didn't know how to use the conj speed boost. Speed boost mid-air, I'm sure I was unable to do that (just like on Forteresse) but on the ground... DPC or just time to kill ? The old SPAS-12 was fine with the clip size, the time to kill would be the same, just with 2 missing shots in the weapon. zamndude a dit : The Transformice beta used to have classes, exactly three and one of them is a HP bonus (+2 HP) . |
