i didnt read the lns but apparently kawahara was just making stuff up as he went along in the novels so its probably not that great to begin with.

The first season will always be my favorite, but the trailer looks great.

unfortunately, i managed to read up to the gun...something arc in the LNs, and i can confirm that's accurate lmao. it was either recycled content from previous arcs or just complete bullshit lol.

the sad thing is, i think SAO had great potential. but it's dark premise didn't match the harem genre (which was what the LNs were) so it ended up falling flat on its face, and is the reason why most episodes are either "here's another bland waifu for Generic_Protagonist's harem!" or "here's a really tear-jerking scene where we kill off a character who had no personality and barely any screentime, so no-one cared about them anyway. please feel sad!".

mp100 has some of the coolest fight scenes i've seen (albeit i don't watch much shounen. but damn.)

shuumatsu no izetta caught my eye at first b/c hello, flying gays fighting together in the 1940s, yes please. the PV on MAL looked kinda meh though. i think it's the same animation studio who did SAO? i'm not too keen on their same-faces, they're almost as bad as kyoani. anyway, i'm about 99.9% sure it's not going to be what i'm hoping for, but we'll see.

i'm interested to see how they turned ao oni into an anime. i'm sure it'll be garbage but i'll probably check out the first episode, just to sate my curiosity.

gakuen handsome looks great, 11/10. best anime 2k16
