You are correct, in a sense. favoring is not reportable, and is not bannable by a mod. However, any mouse can type /ban username if they are bothering the room. You might also know it as vote kick or room kick? If a certain amount of mice use the command, the user getting /ban'd will get sent to a different room and will be unable to join the room they were just in for an hour. Vote Ban/vote kick/room kicking trolls is allowed, as long as you aren't abusing the /ban feature.

When a shaman favo, they just simply favo a friend or a "lucky one" so they can get first. This act is also consider as trolling and it is allowed.

Well, even with that situation, ping is still a significant factor. But it does give a lucky one a chance to succeed, but much more chance to the person with less ping.

Well, favoing varies a lot, from simply reviving to ensure the favored one gets to the hole, or helping that favored one to get the first. Of course it is sort of uncommon to see shamans favoring someone, hence you would see persons to go on a winning streak.

Basically, if you get favoed, in 10 minutes:
1 sure first (given that the shaman is your friend)
While the other skilled one get:
50% - 80% chance of getting first, given the circumstances and other factors like ping and other competitors(especially ping war maps).

Favoing removes other obstacles that prevent the favoed one from getting first. Although this is not the situation all the time, maybe the shaman wants to just get his favored one to get the cheese, favoing for a first tends to be publicly noticed and criticized since, you know..., "first is stolen!" "*insert rant here*"

I agree that racing is a great way to train for your first. even at least reaching the hole with a top 5 is a sign of progress.

I also agree on your point of shaman can backfire on themselves when not skilled enough. Although I would find it odd if a level 30 shaman backfired spectacularly.

Oh, I thought both, mods can't ban them from game and players shouldn't ban the player from the room due to favoing/trolling. That's what i understood from the announcement.

Also, without skills, what is leveling up worth? Today, when mice level up, they get a point to use on a skill. And they gain that skill. If you don't have skills to gain, what do you gain if you level up?

Favoing is annoying for the same reason 'cheating' at any other game would be annoying. There's no use in calling someone 'a stat maniac' for loosing a first, or a child for showing a feeling that comes naturally.

For example, I work for each of my firsts, and I'm proud to say that none of them have been by the way of intentional favo via a friend. So understandably, it would be annoying when I see someone getting easy firsts which they made no effort in taking simply because they're getting favoed. So yes, I undertsand the feeling of not liking favos. Also, it's utterly ignorant to just say 'go to a room alone' then you're just defending those who cheat and implying they have more of a right to play than those who have accually put some effort forth into playing it properly.

Yes, we need to remember 'Trolling is part of the game', but we shouldn't turn it into 'Trolling IS the game'

The only time I would have a problem with someone not being fond of favos is if they are downright raging and making a big scene over 'a stolen first' Yes, annoyance is understandable but I simply remind people that vote banning ((aka using the /ban)) command is still an option and a much better one than freaking out.

After all, it is just a mouse game.

In my opinion, favoring isn't a big deal. In survivor, I see people who call those who favor their friends whores and noobs, and even I was called that earlier for favoring my friend. I really don't see the point, who cares if someone favors? And firsts aren't everything, so there isn't a point in swearing at the shaman. And in survivor, you can just try to survive, there isn't a point in wasting your time arguing with someone because they favored.
Well uh, there's my opinion, I probably sound stupid, but okay. :P

Well yah, its kinda part of teh game. Even tig trolls. But i guess you just have to face it or go to a different room.

Why to favo? Its just 1first no biggy but its annoying me bcoz many ppl loses their fs with that .cant find a peace room without favoers in it *-* especially in vanilla

Trolling is a part of the game! The anvil God? The cheese that used to run away from mice? The random solid grounds of the past? It is what made the game unique and kind of defined the game in my opinion so, randomness and trolling should be okay

Well... I mean I admit to favoing and being favo'd.. But It's just another part of Transformice and you wouldn't get as mad if it were you. It definitely makes the game seem more unfair, but there's no reason to stop it. It's just another game on the internet and stats really shouldn't matter, it's about how much fun you have while playing the game; not the rank you are. I agree the skills have ruined the game, because now some people just die if they see that the shaman has a low level. Just because their level is low doesn't mean that they cannot shaman well. When I started (2011) there were amazing shamans. They didn't need any skill level to prove how good they were. But again, this is just something we all have to get used to.. Sometimes change is good? We'll get used to it...
