I see no reason for a wait time. Some tfm friends have used it as a joke of sorts to tease and be silly(in a friendly way of course)- but it's not something a lot of people really take seriously. It doesn't have any advantage or anything, I think it's fine if people marry and divorce at their leisure on the game, it's kinda funny and quirky to see, be all dramatic and goofy with it.

Isn't that obvious , atelier801 wants you to wait an hour because in that time your divorced soulm8 should log off , if that didn't exist , your old soulm8 will complain how you cheated on him/her when you marry someone else
