Gnar a dit :
As it stands, Defilante is just a quicker and worse version of racing.
Adding Def coins just makes it more susceptible to cheese/coin farming, instead of players actually enjoying the mode itself.

There's no point in trying to revive a dead gamemode when it will basically still be completely un-enjoyable and it will only be used for cheese.
People will get all the coins they want, complete the bars for cartouches/badges, and then completely avoid the gamemode again.

Ha, and you know that how?

My point is that they should work on the mode to make it more enjoyable which could include adding coins to the mode rather then remove it from the game itself. I adore the concept of the mode and believe if it was improve to make it more enjoyable and adding coins to attract more people to the game itself, it well be better than what it is right now.

You do realize that a lot of people do have actual lives and it won't take them 1-3 days to a week to complete the bars for cartouches/badges, right? And who knows, maybe they'll play the game even if they were finish farming.

Just because you think something is dead doesn't mean it can't be revived. You can't predict the future and neither can I but I choose to believe that instead of removing the mode itself, they should improve it to attract more players to it. It has potential and throwing away potential is completely stupid.

P.S. The decline in activity in modes like survivor is racing is most likely due to the drop of players in the entire game itself. They should improve their advertisement/marketing plan before doing anything really.

I know it because Defilante died within two weeks of it being implemented as an official game mode. Once people realised they couldn't farm for cheese or firsts properly, they left Defilante in the dust and that's how it's been sat for a very long time. I used to dominate Defilante back when it was first introduced as just a module, but very quickly people lost interest because it didn't give them what they desired.

And it will be the same if it ever "gets improved". People only used it to try and obtain cheese or firsts. Firsts only came every 10 rounds, and cheese came every 2 rounds. It just wasn't a sustainable way of gathering cheese and it wasn't worth your time either. Adding coins to it won't make it any more enjoyable, and like I said beforehand, it will just become a worse version of racing. For farming firsts and cheese. Nothing fun about that.

Survivor is actually still going strong, as it pulls away from collecting cheese and instead you actually have a fun objective (survive the round) in order to get cheese, instead of waiting for a shaman to build. I was also the king of survivor back in 2014 and 2015.
However, after bars/cartouches/badges were introduced, that's all people ever came for. They never played the game properly, and instead they made rooms to quickly fill their bars, gain coins, and earn the badge and cartouche. It was hard to find a decent room to play in after that.

As we all know, adding things won't automatically improve things, nor will it lead to the success of something.
Defilante coins will not bring success to the game mode. It's dead, and so are your dry reasons as to why you think it'll work.

Grimmaro a dit :

Improve admin-player communication. The admins almost never comment on ongoing discussions and very rarely will they comment in suggestions. What you need to do to bond with the playerbase and make them invest in the game personally is to appear more often, comment on more threads and suggestion threads, give more feedback, give more update posts like the Paroles de Devs -- show the playerbase that the administrators care about their community and your community will back you up. The current Paroles de Dev update is a very great start.

Another good thing to bring up since it is related to the communication between admins and players is to create more contests. There have been a few contests over the years and I think the admins should really start looking out and exploring more local options and even just contributing to help judge or joining a staff team's livestream is a great way to create hype. Start advertising these contests on social media and help bring in more players from all over.

I always thought this was done so poorly. Not attacking anyone because this I feel like hasn't been easy since early 2012, the communication with administration and players has been poor. Things have changed now, but I remember it literally took me a little more than 2 years to get a simple email change on my account completed after numerous messages on the contact form and on the IRC channel.

I agree with everything that you wrote!
And here is what I said in announcenent
Bruno a dit :
Well, how you didn't expect this happening, after a year of no good updates (new features in game)... You started abandoning Transformice in the end of 2016, it's really not hard to notice that... You were too busy with Dead Maze and rarely added something new to Transformice (not counting events and shop items). You needed to react before this happened, but you still have time to save the game, better start doing it soon, before it gets too late...

Ok, here are some suggestions for Transformice :
:)

1. Update Map Editor. - Last time you updated it was in 2014, and that were only new decorations for maps, Map Editor is really important for the game (For Map Crew members, for making maps in general...) It should get more ground and other stuff, I'm not into Map Editor much, but I would like to see it updated...

Changes in Events (Adventure Calendar, better rewards). - You could add Titles for Adventure Points to make it more useful, and I'm sure that more players would play recycled events to get title. Adventure Calendar used to be fun at the beggining, we used to get points for example in Hugging 2017 events "Hug member with same pet" and it was better than now, now we just have to grind to 50-60 event collectables to get new title, also rewards are getting worse and worse we got 2 events and only 1 new title for each event, where are most valuable rewards? (badges, cartouches)...

3. Daily reward system or mission/tasks - This would be really nice idea, for example we get task "Complete 20 Racing maps" and after we complete it get some rewards cheese coins, fraise, or just inventory items. This would make players play Racing, Survivor and other game modes or whatever...

+ There are more amazing suggestions on forum, you should check it more often.

Things that should be removed from the game/forums

1. Election - I never liked it in TFM, It's not special thing and I've noticed that people barely use that these days (at least in EN servers), I really don't see point of it, an people use insults in description sometimes...

2. Remove Defilante and Music rooms - Those aren't active really and I never saw much players in these, you could bring player to Defilante if you add coins like Survivor and Racing, but if you won't do that, remove these rooms or make them modules, but still I think it would stay same with amount of players...

Delete Fortoresse, Nekodancer, Bouboum and it's forums. - I don't know why are you waiting for 2020 to remove them, you won't update them anyway, so why waiting? And you even don't get any money from them, and I'd say that they even don't have 50 people that often plays them...

Forums are good don't remove anything from them :)

I'm hoping that it will back to normal for Transformice and Atelier 801 soon <3!

The daily task thing is an AMAZING IDEA!

This will be added tomorrow. (Daily task system)
