Glirotus a dit :
As a Free-to-play gamer, I see games come and go all the time. If a game is popular enough it will make a come-back later on, usually... Nothing is official as of yet and Atelier, I am sure, are scrambling for a solution. We got another 4 years before anything happens to Flash so enjoy all the things Flash has to offer before it fades away and classifies itself as obsolete.

Ev1 here acts like Transformice is already dead... Log on and play, make memories, have fun, and enjoy today (=

A great speech

what about html5?

adobe will dont care about flash so that doesnt mean no updates
what's problem if the program have no updates
it will be slower or what?

There won't be any support like Microsoft to Windows XP.

Hi. Yes, Flash will be unsupported around 2020. This is the decision where Adobe Inc takes to minimize the cost on maintaining the project due to newer HTTP2.0 protocol and HTML5 capabilities (websockets, async, concurrent practices on the web, etc). Anything that depends on the Flash (standalone, steam transformice, web transformice) also gonna takes impact on this 'revolution' of the web. Transformice had to rewrite everything to a new platform (likely HTML5 and Javascript, since you don't need any plugin to run games in browser) or to just shutdown which I find delusional after years launched as a flash game.

However, I don't think flash transformice will be just gone after 2020. Just newcomers rate will be declined (since adobe drops flash download), and serious game crackers that willing to collect users private data and cheaters will have much easier tools for the job on the platform.

The only viable and cost saving way to continue this legacy is either through mobile or HTML5 route. Although, I don't think the current HTML5 and Javascript are viable and effective way to be a replacement to flash. They are memory hog in general and eventually will drive some people away.

Until then, expect Flash games including tfm will be a Crackers Nest because no-security updates will be released, thus no vulnerabilities patching and fixing.

hold on one second. I love games like duck life/ Crazy Zombie/ Epic Wars/ other flash content. Primarily talking about kongregate/max games/armor games/etc. And are they all going to have to go? Will those games ever be recovered? even the unpopular ones? This is just depressing if that is so. And what about my favorite game My First Quantum Translocator ????

They will switch to HTML5, a lightweight option that is compatible with mobile devices.
Perhaps Transformice will expand its platforms too
