i'd go with almost mono-ghost hhaha
litwick,male frillish,shiny pumpkaboo,gastly(future mega),honedge and sylveon

Rowlet is fine, I don't have any problem with it, out of the three it looks like a Pokemon the most.

But

It doesn't look like a starter Pokemon.

I think the main issue is the color, it has very little green.

it's reallllllly light green tho (chickorita was almost the same color). but I agree, the others don't look like pokemon at all.

They look like pokemon to me, I guess it's all a matter of taste.

Rowlet looks like it should have been the gen7: Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, Pidove, Starly, and Fletchling.

Rowlet comes across as the least starter of the 3

My thoughts on the new trailers:

Chibis are gone. Woo!
Hawaii has been confirmed!!!! I loved how bright and colorful Hoenn has been. Hopefully Alola brings that back/continues it.
Types of Pokemon I expect may be in the region:
Though just because Alola is based on Hawaii doesn't mean most of the pokemon would be based on Hawaii. There could be pokemon in Alola based on other things from the world outside of Hawaii.
It appears the professor's assistant(?) is also named after a tree in the English version. It's like that in the Japanese version too, though loads more characters are named after trees iirc.
I wasn't very fond of the starters for the first few seconds, but then they quickly grew on me. They all look smaller than all the other starters but that is okay. Not the first time a starter stage was quite different from a previous generation's starter stage.
Rowlet: So much better looking than Roothoot. I'm a sucker for flying/bird types. Rowlet's color scheme doesn't bother me because Chespin already broke the color pattern. If I get this starter, I may name it Borb. The way it turns is also adorable!



Litten: I like fire and I love cats. Litten's color scheme is quite drastic from previous generations though, being more contrasting/brighter/darker. I'm torn between Borb and Hellcat.
Popplio: Popplio looks quite slim for a starter pokemon, but I guess that's just normal for this generation since all the 7th gen starters are short this time. I didn't notice until someone showed an image of all the water starters together, but Popplio is more blue than all the other water starters, them being more light-blue. Popplio also seems goofy and cute!!
That title theme sounds amazing, are the godly trumpets back?!
Rival looks cool.
The legendaries are quite odd-looking Though they're growing on me. If the names are correct: Solgaleo looks like a Zoid! and Lunaala looks spoopy! Also, they're like Lysandra and Olympia.
The Sun/Moon logos are in the game as statues whoa.
tfw people already knew about the legendaries through being in the Japanese commercial/trailer/video.

The rival has the weaker starter in the Japanese trailers and isn't known in the English one. I'm wondering if that's just for the trailer or if this rival is another Bianca/Shauna. D-Does this mean Y-Yui may be real?!

Edit: Forgot about pokemon following you. I haven't caught it in the two trailers, but there's been an image of Rowlet following the player character. I wonder if it's just for that part of the game, and/or if there's a limited selection on who can follow you.

Popplio is cute, but Litten and Rowlet's designs are more fascinating, honestly.
I predict there's gonna be a dolphin-kind of Pokemon this time.
I'm still waiting for a hamster-kid of Pokemon because Dedenne is a mouse and we have no hamster Pokemon

I have to disagree Chris, I like that the characters are no longer chibi. I've always had a dislike for that, so glad we're going to be full 3D models!! I've been waiting sooo long!!!!!!!!
