I don't know if it's the same for you but in the FR community we really don't want to deal with some people of the cafe

but, i enjoy the cafe. I post animal jam threads and get hate half time, but you just have to get used too it.

Although cafe is unmoderated I don't think that we should delete it. I go on cafe a lot and I love reading other people's weird comments. And I think a lot of people who don't know about the forum go to cafe to meet other people. Therefor we should not delete it.

If the mods paid more attention to it, then keep. Otherwise, it's quite a waste of space that serves no purpose and is filled with absolute rubbish 24/7.

but in all seriousness the cafe is shitpost haven and i have felt since its introduction that it was an unwise idea (especially due to its sparse moderation, if there even is any) and i maintain this position to this day. especially EN2 - the chat there is already cringe-y, the cafe is even worse.

I don't think the cafe will get removed at all. Sure, I have fun on the cafe, but I do strongly agree with the unmoderated part. It's an easy way to share porn/jumpscares.

The cafe is like the election system, useless and forgotten by most people other than those obsessed with it. Hell, even the election system serves a purpose as a cheap moneygrab, but like the cafe it adds nothing to the game other than another way for kids to scream at each other about things that they shouldn't even know about. So yes, if its not going to be strictly moderated (Hell, we can barely get enough moderators for the game, do you think we can spare any for a useless feature?), then I think its best to just do away for it once and for all.

We should remove it. Then we'll have room for permanent fullscreen and help buttons.

are you kidding me? the cafe is a safer more moderated place than any of the in-game room chats are. you can basically get away with anything in a room but on the cafe it is heavily moderated so that shit doesnt pass through. If you remove the cafe, its literally going to be the same thing anyways. It's not like the community will change because you did that, it will stay the same. If you think the cafe is bad and the community is shit, what does this say about transformice as a whole? The cafe is just a place where people can chat easier and its less organized than the forums are, it isnt anything more or anything less. So is the problem really the cafe here, or the community on transformice in general?
Removing the cafe will do nothing and it's pretty pointless, and I actually consider the cafe a safer and more moderated place than any of the room chats will ever be.

The only thing it lacks is a report that could send to online mods and arbs. You can still easily whisper a mod if one is available and alert them of issues, and arbs apparently can handle it as well as per this.

I did see that and to me that's still not a proper moderation system lol. I don't use the cafe myself but judging from the panicked messages I see in room chat all too frequently about how people on the cafe are spreading screamer links it seems as though either people don't know that they can whisper mods about that, or that doesn't help the posts to be removed fast enough.

I use the en2 cafe frequently and i rarely ever see screamer links on topics or comments. The shit people are saying rarely ever happens and if it does it gets removed fairly quickly.

Tl;dr- Removing the cafe would be a stupid move and completely unnecessary.

I think...but let's do not remove the cafe!
