On the bright side, guests are here to stay. And there identity shall be forever unknown. Unless they reveal themselves, which is very unlikely since the poor buggers can't talk.

Mods can see the IPs of guests, so it's not like they're ~*myserious and forever unknown*~.

I'd also like to offer the point that you would be completely unable to play the game if the login server was down if guests were removed.
So far, all the points people are offering as to why guests are bad is stuff that regular users can do now -- have inappropriate names, hack, steal firsts. Might as well ban accounts in general then if this stuff is so awful and should be eliminated.

Other than anyone able to see your ip address, you're still unknown. They don't have excess to your personal information, such as name, age, gender etc ... just your ip. Therefore the Transformice community wouldn't have a clue who you are, unless a member of staff reveals the truth. Which is very unlikely.

There's no need to know all those things anyways. Besides the IP address that is. I have friends who are guys who dress like girls and girls who dress like guys. So that already leads to concluding the wrong gender of a person as it is lol. I know the example is a little off-base. I have had an instance where there was a guest player in survivor, and people were calling the guest a he and the guest would get mad. I said something like, "but what if (insert guest name here) is a she?" and the guest clapped towards me.

Guests are aimed towards new players who want to try out the game. But others get on to play for fun, to troll, and anything else without being judged besides their *guestname. If they get on a guest account then it is more than likely, they don't want to be known xD. They probably like the added mystery of their praise/demise.

**Plus, if the guest is abusing a hack or glitch, the moderators have the IP address of the guest account and will ban them. No other info needed 8D.

Guests are needed, for people to test out the game. The one flaw, however, are the firsts.
The server shouldn't count a first by a guest account.

Me personally, I don't have a problem with guests. Some people might just want to test the game out to see what it's about. Some maybe too lazy to go through the process of making an account, which we all know the process is rather short. I say let the guests have their way, because after all they are just guests.

It's fine if those guests want to show us how they're skilled, but I am saying that it would be better if the first did not go for the guest and went for a registered account instead of going nowhere. It's good to see that a guest is pro-er than us, but since the guest doesn't have a profile/stats then why doesn't the first count for the next person going in the hole? It's not like the end of the world but it can be better for those players who want better stats so this way nobody complains. It's completely fine for me but it would be even better if they did it that way.

Sure your idea sounds reasonable, but in my own opinion I don't agree. The guests aren't affecting your stats in anyway, they beat you fair and square. Although, what will be affecting my stats would be false information. I wouldn't want to accept a guest firsts just because I came second. For me that doesn't feel like I accomplished anything, you're here to win not take people's charity.

Guests are kinda great since, it lets you test the game before making an account.

But in my experience, I saw a bunch of guests in room 801 controlled by a guy that I dont know who he is trying to piss me off like hell.
Dont even ask what happened next. *Grabs frying pan and stares everywhere*

Plus, some guests destroys and disturbs our roleplays like.. UGH!

But I think they would be helpful.
So guests shall stay even when my head nearly explodes.
Plus idc about my stats. I focus on my patience mostly.

i guest to bootcamp cos i like to keep my bootcamps as a 0 on my stats. I also guest when i wanna play in big rooms cos the temptation to troll is too high for me in big rooms, and i don't want people hating me for trolls. And during those big-room-guest-sessions i do get firsts, and the other people do rage, and i don't understand why.

it's always "noob first!" yet i'm clearly not a noob if i get first... or "they stole first!" when it was no-one elses but mine anyway, clearly shows cos i have the 1 next to my souris name :P

my man also occasionally guests. And he loves firsts, and the rage. he doesn't like to play on accounts cos he likes the anonymity

Guests are okay in my book, even if a "professional player" decides to make a guest account and "take firsts" from people. (Taking firsts is not a really legit reason to whine, the person who got it won the first, and they deserve it. Even if they are playing as an anonymous guest. Sadly for them, their first doesn't count of course, but the first should not go to the second person entering the hole, because they did not technically "win" here.) Their loss/win if they don't want to do it on their main account.

Guests are cool they shouldn't be removed i played as a guest for like 2 years before making a account it was fun at first i never got raged at as i remember from 2011 as a guest.
