So let us get this started. Look Atelier801, I understand how hard it is too develop games. I understand how hard it is too keep your servers running. What I do not understand is why you ignore your other games completely. I mean really? Is it that hard to update Bouboum, Fortoresse, or even Nekodancer? Yes, I know that Transformice is your largest game. You know what? You could be pulling in a lot more income if you just added stuff to your existing games. I mean lord, you just keep making new ones while your existing ones are rotting in the dust. Now before you type "We do add stuff too our existing games.", I want you too just... Look at your games. They could be so much more than what they are right now. Just please at least think about what I said. If there is a thread like this lock it, what ever but please just read this through at least once.

I'm pretty sure they're well aware of the state of their other games, but considering they operated by breaking even at most, implementation of microtransactions in other games is costly and the fact that Transformice is profiting with a hefty playbase unlike their other games, I don't see things changing.
You could not even have those games to play so consider that.

What's the point of having them then?

Why does Atelier801 produce games when the obviously just leave them too rot?

It's not that it was the intention to leave them that way lol. They just didn't take off like they hoped.
The servers and domains are paid for for now so there's no sense in shutting them down if it's paid for.

I feel bad for the company/whatever is paying for them, it's a waste of money.

Why are they paying for them? There is barely any interest in them since they don't do anything do the games.

I wasn't clear enough, sorry.
Basically, the servers are paid for yearly; therefore, there's no sense in shutting the game down if they're making at least a little profit. It's not enough to invest time into the game, but since it's not costing them any extra (since the server costs were paid when the games were doing well) there's no harm in keeping it up.
Does that make sense?

Keeping the servers up and games running is likely a tiny cost compared to how much Transformice must be to run, and a domain name is only a few bucks a year. The only noticeable cost I can imagine that keeping these games online will have on Atelier is the need to perform maintenance on the games every now and again, taking up the time they can put into other projects.

What's a more likely cause of keeping them up is that they're already made, they put months of effort into these games and there's no point of taking them down since they do still generate some interest and are on Atelier's portfolio.

There is no events on the other games too.

It would be nice if they atleast had some small events..
Though, as everyone else said, there's money issues..

I went on Nekodancer recently and it's so laggy, and the community platform is just nonexistent now. I feel bad for it to just be left like that after all the time they spent on it, would love to see it updated as well as the other games.

Fortoresse and Bouboum left untouched for over a year now, might as well shut them down and bring the players over to Tfm :P

If they shut Fortoresse down, I'm not going back to TFM. I'll just check the forums every so often and play Module 801 games when they come out, and give Dead Maze a chance

I kinda wish they'd make their minor games open source and allow people to work on updates.

tranbsformice is really popular and requires regular updates, while the other games are smaller, even though that can be fixed. And if you didn't know neko dancer is going to die in january because youtube will no longer support flash. Enjoy it while you can. But just keep in mind atelier is trying their best, but idk why they made those games in the first place.

You know the "More games" button? They could move that higher in the menu to bring more attention to it.
