Shared accounts are allowed, but public accounts are not. Why? You'd have to ask a moderator for a better answer, but it's likely because shared accounts may be hard to 100% confirm as a shared account, while public accounts are very easy to confirm.

A moderator can go more in-depth than I can but the key difference there is: public accounts are those where the information is available to anyone. A shared account is an account shared between friends.

I find it extremely demotivating to see shared accounts (none of which I will name for fear of this being deleted for defaming a user). Their completely selfish tactics to farm saves and firsts is just bewildering. How can we sit by and have a user rotate players to achieve stats and do absolutely nothing about it?

These bridge totem using, consumable exploiting, wreckless individuals are ruining this game for plenty of people. You have statpadders and you have shared accounts. What sort of moral constructs go on in their head, where numbers on a computer screen motivates them so much to go so far to gain the upper hand?

If I remember correctly, cheese.formice disqualified shared accounts at one point before being asked to reinstate those users on their leaderboard. Were this game so driven by stats (which it seems to be for a lot of users), surely this disqualification seems to be fair. How can anyone compete with such an unfair advantage? The competition is false. It is absurd that this goes on and it is infuriating to see people be allowed to exploit when they can easily be reprimanded.

I - and countless others - would very much like the input of a moderator, or better yet: an admin on this matter.

Shared accounts aren't that unfair. At the end of the day, only one person can play at a time, anyone can share their account, and they're still subject to the same game rules. Shared accounts are neither condoned nor encouraged in most instances.

Consumable exploits can be reported in bug forums, if I understand you correctly. The other things mentioned are just different methods of gameplay, I encourage you to use /ban or change rooms from people that are using a gameplay method you dislike. Do remember that trolling is also a part of the game.

Cheeseformice isn't run by Atelier801 or official staff teams of Transformice, so no one here can do anything about stat disqualifications or requalifications, you'd need to address a helper.

It might be different if stats held merit in the game, but they don't. Any average player can achieve the same goals as a player who shares their account.

Helpers can't do jack shit about stat disqualifications either, and technically nobody can anymore since CFM is now defunct.

Mods were disqualifying those people as per Sourdough's request, but that's all moot now.

What can be done about homophobic, anti-Semitic, sexist, etc. language in game? I know that this sort of language is not allowed, however, I've been seeing a sharp increase in the amount of this language I see. I, and many others in the room, will report the people but I see those same people almost everyday playing. I've tried to contact a mod in multiple cases. Most of the time mods aren't on (which I understand, you can't be on at all hours) but the one time a mod was on, I tried to contact them for sexually explicit language but I never received a reply. I think this has really gotten to a point where every room I go in, there is some sort of hate language. I know the best course of action may seem to be putting the player on our ignore list but I really don't think that it is the best because it doesn't do anything.

Maybe PM a Mod on the Forum with screenshots to forward it to their team for an opinion, or just say his/her own, unless one will actually come here

I'm sorry if you feel like this isn't being dealt with! The best thing you can do is to /report them and encourage others to do the same. You can keep trying to contact a mod ingame but if there are repeat offenders, the report system enables us to handle them more effectively. Alternatively you could apply for the moderation team to help out if there aren't many moderators online when you are.

I had applied for a spot as a Sentinel in the Estonian community but I haven't got any answers.
I don't think there are ANY Sentinels or Moderators in the Estonian community at all.
May I ask, who is the one to check the applications for different international servers?

They don't take screenshots (or even video (?)) as proof for anything, as they are easily faked. There is nothing you can do about people who break the chat rules except report it and hope it makes in into a chat log for the moderators to review later (which it probably won't).

The moderation in this game is flawed, and you will have to just deal with it.

Using the ignore feature has always been the best option. If you don't see it you won't be bothered by it. Even if it doesn't do anything for other people, it does something for you and that's what is important.

Staff members from other communities can see those applications. Usually, it takes a while until a decision is made, especially when it comes to recruiting someone who belongs to a community with no staff.
If you have any questions regarding your application, you can always contact a sentinel in particular.

You can apply to become a moderator when applications are made open.

Applications have recently closed however and we're still going through the current applications.

To what extent does cursing become a rule break? If i put a spoiler and mention that it has excessive cussing, is it still a rule break? Also, when does posting on an old topic become a necro, and how can I avoid it?

I'm not really sure about the first Q, a sentinel might answer.

If you post something on an old thread just to get it up and on the first page of threads again, with a random message or something out of the discussion, like "up", it's considered necro.

If you add something of value to the discussion, something interesting and related, then there shouldn't be any issue.
