why are hackers allowed multiple chances and not permanently banned the first time?

Hackers are given a few chances in hopes that they change their ways before being permed. Although most do not change their hacking ways, some do see the consequences and change their behavior.

The real reason why hackers don't get permed at all is because perm bans don't stop a player from hacking. It just bans the account but doesn't stop their behaviour because it's extremely easy to circumvent a ban and continue what you were doing on a new account.

i've sent numerous emails to transformice, i've waited the two full weeks, but i am not getting replies, i've tried whispering them on transformice, i've just been ignored, they might be busy but then i've tried to contact them on discord, and it said action blocked or something, i have no idea what to do, or where to contact them!

I am Bhosxen#7264 and I have recently been unfairly banned for 168 hours due to hacking, despite the fact that I wasnt hacking.
I have no idea who banned me or why (if I wasnt even hacking) and I dont know what to do. I was banned about 1h30mins ago.
I haven't talked to any other staff members. I was playing survivor in a 20+ mice room - survivor1 - in the FR server (I am not french, by the way).
I think my ban was extremely injust because not only I wasn't hacking, I never did in the 8-9 years I play this game
Please help me get my account back!

Kek, they get a lot of emails, I also sent one like 3 months ago and got no reply but there's nothing to do with it I guess, 2 admins just left right for now, tig is always coding and meli do all the rest admin stuff like permabans verifications,etc.
Usually the requirement is to ask a mod to forward it after 2 weeks as wrote in this thread but Idk how it works now when everyone wants them to forward and Meli is super busy :shrugs:
As I know Meli (rarely but does) answers to links to urgent Forum PMs that being sent to her with ping (when she's online and can answer) on TFM Discord server's chat.

thank you for this message, however i have sent them an email months ago, also an email recently but haven't gotten any replies, also i've tried to contact her on discord but it doesn't forward for some reason, however thanks for the tips.

There doesn't seem to be any active ban on your account. Please make sure you're not trying to connect through any VPN service such as Puffin. Try connecting how you normally do, and it should be fine.

Hello mouslings. I got banned for the following reason http://prntscr.com/p4zzkm and it's just 24 hours so I'm ok with that I guess, but I don't really understand fully why I got the ban. I went over the chat rules [(b) On the in game chat: Spam/Flood; Caps-lock abuse; Advertising; General vulgarity; Inappropriate or vulgar links; Severe insulting; Insults to the staff; Misleading players; Provocation; Promoting trollish topics; Xenophobia; Wrong languages in chat.] and I didn't do any of those listed. I joked about a baguette a bit but that's still not listed and it wasn't too inappropriate, especially compared to other things I've read in #chat, soo I don't get why I got banned and don't know by who cause it said no mods online,

Other than banning when they are spotted or suspected, what attempts would you suggest mods take? There are always hack reports to check, so mods are usually doing that. Without going into too much detail, mods can't really check for leve randomly/indiscriminately because hackers will figure out the techniques they use to check, and then avoid them.

The point is that normal room players and most moderators can't even tell when someone is using leve. I've been playing this game since 2011 and I've never seen an antileve in normal rooms, so obviously nothing is being done.

Players who claim they can tell when someone is using leve are players who are butt-hurt when someone is better than them. The reason why you don't see any antileve in normal rooms is because it isn't an issue there. Most people in regular rooms play this game casually so they don't care if someone else beats them.
