[Old] Staff FAQ

I want to agree with Johnmiki, the moderation system in this game seems fairly biased and not helpful to players. I was banned for "hacking" in a parkour room in EN server by a ES mod (which seems very odd a ES mod would be in EN server let alone a parkour room but no one seems to acknowledge this). I was playing in the room with parkour mods, which if you think about the situation logically, if I truly was hacking why was I not banned by the parkour mod? I play in parkour rooms frequently and if I was hacking why would i not be banned by them? I reached out to several mods and they all said they could do nothing, even though the only argument that I was hacking is a clear "he said" situation, since mods are allowed to ban without evidence. I have put hundreds of dollars (let alone the hundreds I have spent gifting friends) into my account to support a game I have played for 9 years, but seeing as I can be banned for no reason I dont think i can continue to support this company. Im avoiding names because I do not want to call anyone out, but I am truly disappointed in how the moderation works on this game.

The fact that Sharpmuffinz was banned falsely and without a reason, while the person I reported in the previous page continues crashing the game and no action was taken, shows so much about the moderation team. All i asked was for him to be monitored and sanctioned. Is that too much? Room 3 crashed 3 times yesterday. WAKE UP!!!

Hi there!

You need to realize staff have lives, obviously you don't, or so i'm leading to believe by the fact you have nothing better to do than log onto a forum nonstop and flame staff, they're doing their best, you must work with them, or you'll get nowhere, you're really just setting yourself up to get sanctioned yourselves for harassment, honestly my best recommendation is just report it, PM a staff member, and leave it at that

Nobody is flaming the staff here. Bold of you to comment on our lives when all my comments about the moderation were completely professional without insults. The only thing I'm saying is they're not doing their jobs and the game needs better moderation to prevent hackers and glitchers. If you take that as an insult or as flaming then my statements must be true. I don't know who you are but I can assume you don't play much in TFM or haven't actually had to rely on this moderation team you're defending so much. I've sent about 10 reports on that player, PM'd every online moderation member and NOTHING has happened or CHANGED - that's WHY we log onto the forums as it is the only place left where we can be heard. I advise you to wake up from your dystopian dream where the moderators are as "good" and "professional" as you describe them when you haven't actually been affected by the problems for which we are voicing our concerns on here. I can see your points and i've put my mind to them, but you can't only blame moderators/sentinels for this, i've been playing since 2015, this is not my main account, and you tell me i'm in this dream, however i'm not, i see from the staffs point of view, believe it or not, they have VERY limited power, you need to think about this, they're trying, and all you're giving them is shit, they're humans just like us, and since you're not an admin, you can't do anything about the staff team, until then, you must work with the staff and their issues, some staff have issues in their personal lives that can affect them when online and put them off focus,they can't 24/7 listen to you bitch and whine over a rat game that has no affect on your life

Whispers turned off 24/7 is definitely TRYING. I'm not only blaming the moderators, the admins are also to blame because they put those players to be moderators in the first place. I know that moderators do their job for free etc. That's why I'm saying the admins need to make serious reforms to the moderation system to make it more effective and better working, because obviously the position it's in right now, IS NOT WORKING. We all have issues in our personal lives but that's not an excuse. No one is "bitching and whining over a rat game". We are costumers and players who pay for the services of this game and play it to keep it functioning. Without players there wouldn't be a game. It has no effect on our lives but it has effect on our gameplay which we dedicate parts of our days to. It's easy to take the moderator's side and defend them when you haven't been actually affected by this, as I said earlier. Best regards from a 2014 player, who has seen enough of this ineffective system.

Hi there!

International server is such a gray area because there isn’t any specific mod for it and it’s the most toxic community (in my opinion) because of the lack of moderation. The excessive harassment/bullying you see in this server goes unnoticed, but playing on EN2, this kind of harassment is taken care of in a fairly reasonable time. I don’t know about other communities; I would assume the mods for each specific community would be the same. The thing that is different with the international server though, is the many languages and the lack of moderation. It is so weird that one of the biggest communities doesn’t have a sophisticated system for reports.

This person who crashes rooms uses object lag/glitch; I have also reported this person, but I am pretty sure people don’t report or the report system is not efficient. I have a decent amount of karma, but I don’t think that really matters if no one else reports the dude.

As for the person who said they got banned in a parkour room; parkour is sooo laggy, especially for people who don’t live near the host, definitely appeal that ban.

I guess I assumed the EN mods were mainly for the English only server. So would that mean that the mods from other communities wouldn't moderate the international server?

In general, the international community is primarily moderated by EN/E2 staff.

someone tried to discuss and appeal my ban for me but a mod disabled their whispers
< [Cate#0010] Hey, I want to appeal a friend's ban for them.
< [Cate#0010] Arcthelemic#3600 got banned for 72 hours due to linking photos including racial slurs.
< [Cate#0010] The only reason they linked them was to show how another player was harassing people.

I get banned for 72 hours for posting screenshots but an E2 cafer who regularly spams people's whispers with the n-word and other racist things still isn't unbanned at this point? All I did was just post proof of them of [etc etc] since they asked. If I remember correctly, I was even muted before for simply posting a phishing website despite context.

There is a huge difference between moderation on the forums and in-game.

I did not share any picture. I only set a picture as my pfp. I do not think it was a fair ban. For a PFP, I should only get pfp banned.

I only set the picture as my pfp, I did not share the picture.

You can contact any of the mods listed in this thread, but it was your choice to set your profile picture to something you knew would be against the rules. There is no dancing around that and only obtaining a 'pfp ban' would teach you nothing.

Yeah but my ban wasn't for setting Alfie's face as my pfp. It was for "sharing the picture", when I didn't. Another player named Transforhat did, and how come I got pfp banned and 10 minutes later I got banned?

So if someone sets something s*xual as it's pfp, it gets a pfp ban yeah, but I set someone's picture as my pfp and I get banned for 72 hours?! How many people have faces in their pfp and do not get banned?! "It's not a player" but where's THEIR consent?
