Today i was in racing and i got banned. I was not using any hacks. I play on a mac and hacks are only supported on exe files therefore it isn't possible for me to get one. I also play on a browser, so it isn't possible to activate a hack on it. Before this, I have been kicked about 3 times and I was wondering why. As I have recently mentioned elsewhere on the forums, Meli has requested that we be more lenient with forum moderation, specifically in regards to duplicate content, double-posting, and necrobumping-bumping. As a sentinel team, we have been discussing almost every report (with the exception of obviously rule-breaking posts) before acting on them, and have been discussing what rules are actually worth sanctioning for when they are broken. As a result, we have actually been more lenient when it comes to moderating things here on the forums, not looking for ways to consider messages rule-breaking when they are not.

I am not contesting that. I want to raise the question if it's necessary to moderate a post like this when 1. The post is not offensive or inappropriate, 2. it's not disrupting the discussion that was ongoing, and 3. Meli repeatedly asked to be more lenient regarding forum moderation.

Would it not disrupt the discussion if such posts were to be allowed and a lot of people posted irrelevant content? Besides, the consensus on being more lenient was that we would still moderate unnecessary posts WITHOUT giving out warnings or mutes; just so that new players avoid deviating from the main discussion-point in the future and not be punished for something so trivial (This would have to be confirmed by a current sentinel since things could've changed after I left the team a while back).

"Etc" encompasses sanctions in the same category as homophobia and racism, such as sexism, transphobia, ableism, and other similar slurs. "Other" is any other sanction that isn't from Cafe, hacks, a Ban on Sight, or anything in the category mentioned above.

So would suicide encouragement, incorrect language, insults and spambots be included "other"?
