No idea if there's an actual tutorial for 'total noobs'.

My friend just got the game because i recruited him and he can't see the wilding and physicist skill trees.

These trees are avaible only when you are lvl 20+

If people are annoying you, there's an in-game ignore feature for that ;)

I'm sure it's impossible to change your username right now, and I'm sure the mods are really careful with everything they do in TFM.

Admins can change names if they are inappropriate. Mods hold no power about this.
If an admin and a user who will be receiving a name change can't meet up, the name is changed automatically to something similar. (Thunderpussy -> Thunderpuffy, Madicks -> Masocks); however if they dislike it they are free to speak with an admin about it.

How do I make a scroll map in the Map Editor? I'm on a Windows 8.1 laptop and I'm having a lot of trouble scrolling it while editing. (Space+Click+Drag doesn't work on my laptop.)

I suppose that your problem is that you cannot move your cursor while you push a button (like the spacebar). This is a feature many laptops have which is called palmcheck. It's disabling the trackpad while you are using your keyboard to prevent accidental mouseclicks/movements.

If you have a synaptics touchpad you can follow the linked tutorial to disable palmcheck, then you should be able to use Space+Click+Drag:

Disabling palmcheck is also a major improvement for laptop shamans on conjuration maps as you can run around while still drawing with conjuration.

Me again, about Scroll Maps, in Map Editing. (I'm so sorry, first time trying this.) anyway, I have Windows 8.1 laptop, and I'm having a lot of trouble scrolling it while editing. (Space+Click+Drag doesn't work on my laptop.) anyway, I do not have a mouse, I have a touchpad. I have tried the link that Epifistu gave me, and followed it as best I could, and I had it just as it told me to do it, but it's not scrolling, I've tried so many times, but I'm so confused, this is the map code I used: <C><P F="4" L="1600" /><Z><S><S H="10" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" L="1600" X="397" Y="369" T="0" /></S><D /><O /></Z></C> (I think this is about all the information I can give, that I know of.) you can replace 'tabname' and 'anothertab' with whatever you want
