Account deleting

I'm not sure what the benfit is to players, if you don't want an account just forget about it. Doubt this will ever be added due to the fact it's just another way for hackers to create more issues for the mods, even if it was added I guarentee at least 10 people posting on the forum they accidentally deleted their account or a hacker deleted their account within the first day of it being added.
No support from me because it's problems outweigh the small benefits, time spent adding it could be used to do other things

For safety reasons I think it's better to leave account deletions to the admins. As pointed out above it will be easier for hackers to delete other peoples' accounts. Besides that, the reasons for this feature you describe are to clear Transformices memory of unused accounts. I think the admins have a clear view of which accounts are unused and, if these accounts are about to take a big lump of server memory, they will decide to clear inactive accounts in time.

I agree. And, deleting accounts is a bit too much power to give to the players.

you know, i was gonna come in here and say no support because it would be too easy to abuse if someone that was not the original owner got into an account.

and then i remembered account security is 100% up to the account holder themselves, and if they're idiotic enough to make a easy password or share their password then they deserve someone to come in and hit that delete button.

also it would (i assume) free up the usernames of the accounts deleted.

/support from me. let's teach those idiots a lesson the hard way :)

It's not really a matter of if, it's a fact that a lot of people have really easy passwords (on the internet) and that account sharing is widespread in Transformice. Implementing such a thing will not increase peoples awareness of how to deal with account safety, instead it will just increase the amount of "hacked" accounts and more people who are seeking help to retrieve their account.
