Zackpots a dit : When you see maps with art that you can touch, you're actually not touching the art but invisible grounds in the shape of the art. So what you're really asking is how to make invisible grounds on top of the art and create the illusion that the mice are touching the art. Frazzer a dit : Another thing to avoid that is to not use an outline. bah what am i saying just don't use over like 200+ lines and you're good lol. (even 150 is a lot to me) but unless you're pretty wise with outlines then it's an a ok. well i don't wanna limit you to just silhouettes and the tracey thingies sooo be wise. (I had a frand who had 120k/20k capacity but the thing was so fabulous, and it was a whole anime drawing with the whole body including the whole room and space with so much sax things. it was fabulous but sadly none of it could be saved; best be thinking) Curves are also your best friend and i find them easier to use instead of lots of black lines. but keep the fineness at a nice 6 through 9 ;) (i find 6-9 to be the most curvy and pretty lines out thar) p.s. don't get soooo carried away :S |

Epalk a dit : I usually see the limit somewhere between 350-400 lines. Epalk a dit : If you have a bezier line with fineness 6, you are basically putting 6 straight lines at once. So the result remains the same. It is very tempting to use bezier lines, but they tend to bring you faster to your limit. I guess it's a matter of preference. |

Cuteprettypi a dit : can you see a bezier curve and a fineness thingy with a number like 20? if you're deciding on using curves, change 20 to something like 10. curves are pretty complicated to make but efficient. :D |

Sherrwagn a dit : Anythin a dit : Please, it's only 3 posts above... edit: I was actually curious myself what the exact limit was, and here is what I have found. You can add 433 lines with weight = 2, alpha = 100 and 1 single layer, without having to compress the XML to load into the map editor. Adding more layers means you can add less lines. One layer adds 23 bytes to the XML, so roughly each layer means you can use 2 lines less for your map. Lines seem to vary between 45-50 bytes, depending on their length, weight and alpha value. This limit of 433 can be extended by compressing the XML. Doing so means you are unable to load the XML in Viprins Drawing Editor afterwards. But that is not a problem if you're not expecting to edit your drawing in the future. Compressing the XML means it will remove all code regarding layers and bezier curves. This will not affect your drawing, it will only affect the fact you can't load it in Viprins Editor anymore. If you compress your XML, it allows you to go up to 474 lines of weight =2 and alpha=100. This might also vary depending on length and alpha value of the lines. So in short: Limit without compressing XML = 433 lines. Limit with compressing XML = 474 lines. I haven't tested this thoroughly, so it is possible the values are inaccurate depending on what kind of map you are making. It is generally advised to use as least lines as possible, because then you don't have to worry about the limit at all. At last, maybe it's good to note that if you're planning to edit the XML for mechanism purposes later on, you should not make a too complicated drawing. If you add grounds in the in-game editor, the limit could be reached and you will be unable to paste the XML back into the in-game editor. Good luck! Edit2: When playing around with lines of weight = 147 and alpha = 40, it only allows me to add 388 lines without compressing the XML, and 403 lines with compressing the XML. So it's safe to conclude bigger/longer lines take more memory and thus allow you to use less lines. |

Interesting :O There is still need for some to add gameplay and lots of other stuff so going over 15k+ capacity for just the art will be unhelpful but you can ignore this if you just do art for art lol :-) Start lag is also a result of huge capacity so best to think about that too! |

hi this is great! but i saw a video on youtube of someone who put a mouse on the editor so he put a picture of a mouse on the editor thingy (i did not see him take a pic or put the pic onto the editor) and he did something amazing i mean like he drew the outline of it...how do you put pics on there then outline it then take a pic away? |
