The first *post*, my bad. It's the green text up top.

You were never banned. After some digging in the log files, a different account (that uses a wide variety of IPs) received that sanction while on 'your' ip. If you have a dynamic ip, you can change it and you should be able to play just fine. If this is problematic or too technical, send me a private message instead (click on my name next to my post to do that).

I assume you are being banned by the automative(right word?) system. If this were the case, the game either: a) detects a suspicious program you recently downloaded before getting autobanned, or b) You are doing something in-game to trigger the auto-ban system. Since this has now happened twice(?), it's most likely a). Check to see if you downloaded something before getting banned.

You should check with a mod why/how you are actually banned though, in case you weren't autobanned. You can find the methods on how to contact the mods through the Moderator FAQ and the Ban/mute Appeals tabs on the opening post of this thread.

Your account isn't banned, however it seems you are using either a proxy, a VPN or a public network that's popular with other users to evade bans or break rules with and as such the IP is often being banned.

If possible I recommend trying to connect to Transformice directly from a personal computer and to try and avoid using proxies or public networks like a library or a school since they are likely to be banned due to other players misbehaving. If you're unsure about any of this feel free to send me a private message and I'll try and help you as best as I can to resolve this.

Why weren't we notified? Last time the ban system changed, we were. A lot of people are still under the presumption (such as myself, hence why this was stated) that 1000 hours is perm, and I don't think it's fair to keep them in the dark.

I don't quite understand why it is relevant to share this with the public. If you're heading towards a perm ban, you will be notified. The amount of hours itself shouldn't matter.

I just think it'd be nice so the community is kept informed. I'm just asking why, not complaining. Sorry if it came off that way.

The last change affected much more people than this one. Basically, if you are going to have to worry about possibly receiving a perm ban, you have already gone off track so far and you already will have had so many warnings. If you behave yourself and play normally, you won't even get close to a perm ban. The fact it may or may not have changed will not really matter then. For this reason it isn't relevant to share this change with the public.
