Kurtwild a dit :
A few years later...

Holomouse a dit :
fill P4 with some easy maps as to balance things out and give players that vanilla feel when you first start the game. As it is, P4 is filled with quite hard maps, having some 1-2 plank solutions in it wouldn't be all that bad(even if that goes against the current P4 guidelines)

P4 is still one of the most difficult categories to fill. The main problem comes with generic maps, they are quite simple and fun but for some reason all mapmakers create the same design on maps that it turns impossible to add variety on rotation; and this is when others try to explore different concepts that result quite hard for new players or which are easy to break with shaman's skills (A few shamans skills are really bad for P4 rotation).

I've always had the same opinion on this, it should matter if people don't understand it, society today won't understand society 50 years from now, as did society 50 years before us. The point is you take that amazing concept that no one gets and you force it into the rotation, give it time, and I mean real time not just a month, and people will start to figure it out, word will spread, etc etc. One way or another. You mapcrew say you want new ideas, but you never take the time to put those new ideas into the game. You can't have unalien maps, and ask for alien like ideas. I think I've made what like 15 brand new ideas for P4, all of them I got told "people don't understand it" yeah well they never will if each time they expect "oh this is a P4 map, this should be predictable like they all are, wait, what??? it wasn't predictable???"

For things like this, you have to rely on the community to wise up on their own, mostly because in due time, they will.

I'm on the fence on the above post. On the one hand, I agree; but at the same time, I watched a friend struggle with just basic shamaning the other day. Very difficult maps and concepts will be hard to get people to do.

It'd also be nice to include some of the more simplistic #spiritual/ex room shaman maps into P4 rotation. Maps around 4/5 difficulty.

I think Map Editor should be updated for:
Crate module maps easilier. Just choose the module and category!

Add more grounds! Triangle (colorable), Object water (water only objects can go in, mice colide with it), Old grounds, Dreew (this makes art, colorable), Mouse (a ground that looks like a mouse), Shaman (a ground that looks like a shaman),
Speech bubble (a ground that looks like a speech bubble)

More shaman objects!
Fake hole (a hole that you can move) (code : 11)
Ilinunium objects (objects that stick to mice when they touch them until they win/die) (code : 315-370, 500-515)

Mechanism Grounds!
Ilinunium Link Ground (links to the next Ilinunium Link Ground, dynamic, sticks to any mouse that touches them until they win/die)
Ilinunium Ground (^ but it doesn't link)
Drivers' Circle (circle that is controlled by you, follows nail, colorable, there will be 2 copies of the Location Board-one for the ground, one for the nail)
Drivers' Rectangle (^ but a rectangle)
File (looks like a file, can link to Ilinunium Link Grounds, outer colides with mice-inside and top doesn't colide with mice ; if without cheese and reached bottom., teleports to cheese., if with cheese and reached bottom., teleports to hole)

More rotation!
P31 (Maps that can fit in multiple categories)
P45 (Tribe houses that can be used as P0)
P46 (P0 maps that can be used as tribe houses)
Pv (vanilla maps)

On the top left of the map will be a button with a grass ground that will take you to the Map Editor.

On the place with the map code, there'll be a button that says "Copy code to Clipboard" which copies the map code to clipboard

Make water rotatable

() = features
., = part of a feature that requires a comma but not the end of the feature
, = end of feature
Features I Didn't add
If you select an llinunium Link Ground and Files and/or more llinunium Link Grounds, then you can link them!
There'll be a Map Submissions thread for my rotation, even Pv!
