So u are saying they should do it anothet way besides relics. Wont the update be the same? Relic = new update because u need something matching the same hard work that is required to earn it. If this protest is all because of the christmas event of 2014, here is a few hints u should know for collecting relics:
1. U have a high chance finding relics in gold presents.
2. When a lot of players complete the event, they might still find relics they dont need anymore and have a high chance to trade it for consumables.

P.S. a lot of players traded relics for consumables toward the end of the fishing event 2014

i agree.

i don't see why they added relics in the first place, along with the inventory. events were a lot more creative before this relic nonsense. plus, the items we get during the events that are kept in our inventory, most of them are used for trolling. like the tombstone, it's used by players to stop mice from getting in the hole. the snowballs are used to kill other mice that aren't paying attention, and the pufferfish and balls are used to either destroy the shaman's build or used by rushers to get first. i am of course a rusher, but i would never use my consumables to get first, especially while the shaman is building, as it may destroy their build. i remember being shaman, and this one player spawned a ball. that one ball destroyed my entire build, i'm sure this happened to other shamans also.

pretty sure admins would have to update tfm to put in the new event anyways. they don't HAVE to involve relics in the event.

1. where's the proof for that? it may be true for you, but you can't speak for every person on this game.
2. true, although those players may not have the relics that other need to complete the event.

1. I love the opening gifts part then you get free items instead of sweating to chase cheese.
2. Relics are useless. I cannot seem to try using them in any way i think of.

Yes, there does need to be a better way of getting relics than just a 1/10000 chance that you'll get one in a present after collecting 10 of them, since right now it's more tedious than fun. But relics themselves do add a lot to events, and with some improvement, could end up actually be fun. Especially since events last much longer now, there's more than enough time to complete them.

EDIT: Also, trolling is part of the game, and consumables can extremely fun no matter in what way they're being used, the majority of playing use them recreationally, and just because a few want to troll with them, I'm pretty sure it's a ridiculous idea to just remove them entirely from the game..

And once again, if you hate relics that much just don't collect them. But people seem to be under some strange superstition that everything new is bad, that's a very archaic way of thinking.

Im sorry to say this, but maybe people would like to keep collecting relics and getting titles. How would we ever be able to get special titles?
Maybe we could lower the amount of events with relics, like 60% without relics and 40% with relics.

I hate hashtags, so I'm just gonna say No support. The reason why No support is that I love the relics. I love to search for them. Also if the inventory was gone, I would no longer have my 69 spray paints. ;-;
