Can anyone help me? I'd like to make my drawing climable, but I'm having trouble placing the grounds where the drawing is; because I can't see it unless if I'm validating the map. Does anyone have any tips on this? |

musicaholic a dit : Is your art set to background? You should. Then export your art to Map Editor. Place the grounds around the art then copy the XML. Go to Pastebin or a document then Highlight and delete the entire <L></L> portion. Go to Viprin and set all the strings to foreground if it was set to foreground. Copy the generated XML from <L> to </L> and paste it between the <O> and <Z> in the Pastebin/document. Load the XML in editor and voila. To make the grounds invisible, just delete the color code. So o="ffffff" turns into o="". Congratulations, you now learned how to splice the XML! It is a nifty thing to know. Unfortunately, the strings only do show up while validating the map. There are some tools on the front page that has a built in Map Editor that shows the strings and the grounds. Check this one out for example. Another thing, when filling art maps with grounds, it is best to outline the parts where mice will hit the ground. Otherwise, it becomes a filler and wastes grounds. If you look at string art maps on CFM, you can see a lot of them are hollow and lackluster. Dernière modification le 1417644060000 |

inthebin a dit : Thanks for all the advice. :) I've already made the drawing into foreground though, using the tool provided in the OP of this thread. And the link you've directed me to kind of confuses me, I don't know what to do in it :< |

musicaholic a dit : It works very similar to Map Editor and Viprin. Imagine the two of those combined into one omni-editor. You can get T values from the drop bar where it says "Wood". Joints are the four joints used in making maps, JD,JR,JP, and JPL. The Viprin part comes from how you want your string to look. Adjusting the Alpha, Foreground, Thickness, and Color. The M1 and M2 refers to connecting strings to grounds. M1 is ground 1 and M2 is ground 2. JR is unique in that M2 is the "Anchor ground". That means M1 will spin around M2. P1 and P2 are points in the map where the string connects to. You can connect strings without needing a ground. So like for JR again, you can have M1 as ground 1 but you can use a P2 instead of M2 for M1 to spin around. That is good for compressing the ground usage. P3 and P4 are used only for JPL. Imagine P3 and P4 as pulley wheels, those are what those are essentially. Dernière modification le 1417646940000 |

inthebin a dit : Ah, I might try to get into that tomorrow, but it's a bit too complicated. xD I somehow managed to place some grounds underneath the drawing by guessing but I had to make them the same color of the background (the purple) so that they don't stick out.. Do you know how to make them invisible? I want to use a different background but when I do the purple just sticks out again. I've made a bunch of google searches and it said to change the X, Y, L and H values but when I do that the object just disappears, and it's not there anymore, visible or invisible. |

You can make grounds invisible by setting their color something easy to spot like 000000 (Black) or FFFFFF(White). You load the XML in a document and CTRL+F those colors. It should say o="000000" or o="ffffff", take out those hex codes so it says o="" then load the XML back in the editor. |

musicaholic a dit : It sounds like you are trying to make dynamic art yes? If you are using anchors in your map, you will notice the invalid color hex will not be anchorable. If that is the case, then instead use T="14". You can do this by CTRL+F "T="11"". Change the "11" to "14" and the ground will be invisible but anchorable. Dernière modification le 1417650000000 |

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I want to know how to make a huge map using viprin's drawing editor I have been trying to put the code <C><P defilante="-1,-1,-1,1" H="800" L="4800" /><Z><S></S><D></D><O /></Z></C> in the editor but when when I make something on there and transfer it to transformice map editor, the map size is the same as a regular map and not the huge one like I wanting. What do I do to make the map huge when I am done making it on virpin's drawing editor? |

lalaweki a dit : Please check your xml again if it has defilante settings. I think you added defilante stuff before my editor gave you the xml, but they all were deleted when it generates xml since my editor doesn't handle anything other than joints. So what you need to do is edit your xml after you get the xml from my editor. If this is not the cause, I have no idea how to solve your problem ;; Dernière modification le 1419565920000 |
