The connection thing is news to me, although I think people should've been warned first rather than going straight to bans, since the glitch was so widespread that I don't think many people realized there was a problem with using it. A lot of people didnt realize it was something you could be banned for until later, because it seemed fine to everyone at first?

The first few times I saw or heard of someone caught using the glitch, they did just get a warning. This isn't new knowledge.

If you've read the game rules it specifically states you should not exploit glitches (=bugs), and that depending on the glitch you can get muted or banned by a moderator. They've been around for about 3 and a half years now.

The problem with that rule is that it says it depends on the glitch you're using, meaning some of them might be allowed. Considering that the esc glitch looked harmless and helped everyone in the room, you can't blame people for thinking it was okay to use it.

Fully agree with you.
In my case, I stopped using that glitch because of those *ahem* ridiculous bans, so I try my best to complete one of them (map 81)

It says you should not exploit glitches, it doesn't matter if they look harmless or not. Even if you do not receive a mute or ban for abusing a particular glitch, that doesn't mean it's okay to use it.

The first time someone was caught abusing the glitch they were warned with a kick from the game. It was only after continued use of the glitch that anyone received more than a 0 hour ban.

Also, if you'll remember map 81 was modified some months ago to allow the shaman to complete it without b planks and without glitches.

So does this mean it's broken for the bomb map as well? I'm too lazy to even try shit on tfm anymore.
