I'm not fan of the shaman items but the fur looks good. I personally don't think that it has to represent an existing animal. Actually, I think it is better to have original furs instead of "animal" or unnatural (green, blue, yellow, pink) ones, just like the first few.

It's not false advertising, in fact, all the things that ACTUALLY were advertising the fur, ((eg, news post, pop-up advert when logging in)) showed the fur without the stripes.

I don't like the new update, the winged cannons are not fair in survivor. Anyone else notice that??

But how do you know that many people actually received the popup before going into shop? Hell, I just received the popup about the new items today, even though it's been a few days since the items were added. So you can argue that it was/is false advertisement, since those that had not received any sort of indignation that the tail wasn't supposed to be striped, bought the fur expecting something different than what they received.

I did not receive any popup when the stripes weren't added, I don't use Facebook and I don't scroll down to the news because I use the forums for my news. All I saw was the item in the shop, with the striped tail. I didn't notice any colour difference so I assumed it to be tha tail that was supposed to go with it.

2 points/opinions from me:

1) I totally agree that tfm furs don't need to "look like" anything. As in haru's first reply with "what's this meant to represent?" I much much much prefer the fancy-rat type realistic furs like hooded, siamese, or black berskshire furs as opposed to the "impossible" furs you'd never see on a mouse like giraffe or carnival. I'm really dissapointed that -every- fur that's been released since i joined has been a "fantasy" fur that's either a copy of another animal or a concept like stars.

2) this is not false adveritsement in my books, and should not be treated as some people say like it would happen "in real life" as you are using a non-monetary currency. YES, you DID pay real money for the fraises. But the deal you agreed to was "cash for fraises" and you got that. If you hadn't then you'd be refunded your money. The deal people feel hardone by here is "fraises for fur" both of which are just pixels on a screen. Your money was already spent, so no monetary refund is required. And wether they want to refund fraises is up to tfm completely, as consumer laws don't cover non monetary currencies. I also belive that all the official "advertising" done was stripless, which is what you recieved. I know some people didn't get popups etc, but if they didn't get those adverts why complain it was false advertising? As it clearly wasn't the ads that pursuaded them to purchase?

I thought the actual sprite in the shop showed un-striped tail, and it was only when it was equiped/worn that the stripes popped up? if this is not the case please tell/show me and I may have to rethink my views.

It showed striped tail in the shop before the update. I cannot show you but unless my eyes deceived me, when the OP created the topic and had an SS of the new items at the time it showed striped tail before he had to edit due to update/patch i'm assuming.

As far as the consumer law goes yes the administration doesn't have to do anything about their hiccup although it would be honorable to at least have a mod post on this thread of discussion or somewhere on atelier tfm forums (not a blog) any discussions they may have had about the problem. Sure somebody said earlier that information travels fast around here but is it really professional to have to find your information regarding the game you play through a blog instead of the proper forums for the game?

Still the first game i have ever seen handle issues like the way it has so far. They are quick to announce good things using the forums but if there is a mistake somewhere on their end it seems the forums don't exist. Even if it's a simple post like "hey this is what happened and we will not/or can not at this time refund those who's fraises were spent and wish to refund but we are working on a system to help mitigate problems in the future" (obviously something better than that but still simple). At least post something in the proper place for it.

I do understand you can't make everybody happy and there will always be two or more sides to every discussion/debate but it would be nice to get the voice of an admin on the topic.

PS. I do like the gazelle fur now, i think it goes great with the festival items. However my stance on the subject still does not change. As well as before somebody says now i'm just trying to get my fraises back+free fur. I have stated in previous post's if it's possible to refund the fraises while being able to take the fur off that account otherwise yes i do believe it would be unfair to have fraises + a free fur.

No, when it was first released, it appeared with a striped tail in the shop. Just go to the first page and scroll down to Milky's comment, and if that and the comments aren't enough for proof (including meli's blog post), then I don't know what is. This can be argued both ways, but there's, hopefully, a slim chance (or no chance) of someone filing a lawsuit

right, if that's the case and the shop showed striped tail then yes, people can justifiably say false advertising influenced their purchase.

a lawsuit would be a waste of the person trying to sue's money tho, as like i said before doesn't matter if they break consumer rules when not dealing with actual real life money. They can do whatever they want with their made up currency of fraises

first one; 'cloud fur' or 'sky fur' would work better. 'aero' [the prefix] means air/atmosphere which doesn't really describe the fur imo.
second one; it's an egyptian fur.
third one; not sure when 'skeleton fur' meant the same thing as 'zombie fur' but okay.

moral of this short thing; don't trust wikis.
