I'll have to be truthful and say no; not because I don't care, but because nobody's giving me proper answers as to why bootcamp is so "ruined," and I doubt I'll get them. We'll just have to agree to disagree and move on from this, because we won't see eye to eye, unless someone can properly explain to me why everybody is of the frame of mind that bootcamp is ruined.
Because as I stated a few posts up, TFM has way better things to focus on than people complaining their profiles don't look the way they want them to. That issue is on the player's end, not their's.

Actually, lurking this thread thread, for the most part I see people who don't care about this update nor don't mind it? The ones crying the loudest are the so-called "statwhores." Not meaning to use the term insultingly, but it seems to be the least stupid sounding I can think of.

I mean, if you want to be mad, be mad. You have that right as a human. But this all seems very silly to me; maybe because I enjoy the game as a game and not because I want "perfect numbers."

I enjoy the game as a game too, just more seriously. I enjoyed bootcamp as a game before, now I don't. I didn't mean to cause conflict, I was getting irritated because I take this game more seriously than others. I'd be happy with it if it was just shop cheese tbh, there's so many other ways to get gathered cheese, bootcamp didn't need to be added to that. It's just another method to farm.

you do realize that you can and probably will get multiple bootcamp cheese within a single round. So yeah unless you care about your first/cheese ratio it won't make nearly as big of a difference as you describe.

It's still a difference that I don't want and yes the whole point of me complaining is the first/cheese ratio. I try to make it as good as possible without statpadding.

So basically your entire complaint is that you can no longer impress people who look at your in game profile and are too stupid to subtract however many bootcamps from your cheese total, or at least account for them when looking.

This... why do players care so much about stats, don't they get it that all you get is absolutely NOTHING IF U HAVE A MILLION..... FIRSTS OR BCS???? What's the point, this is rly good for players who would like to save up for cheese and are good at the module..

You earn cheese by completing a map now. If you can't do such, you may want to look at other methods of play, or just practice.

This is amazing for increasing cheese ratio (from what I understand). In the future I hope to see people with godly cheese ratios.

What you're describing is still basically the same thing as statpadding since you care more about how your profile looks as opposed to actual stats that get measured.

I love it. If you need to have a padded profile on a flash mouse game you have some bigger problems than not looking like you get firsts half the time to a bunch of strangers.

A nice kick in the ass to all those annoying stat padders/stat whores (before lily tells me to learn what the difference is, since she seems to be one of maybe 20 people who are crying about the change) who also BC.

More cheese and XP is nothing but a plus in my book since I don't care for any of the crappy titles BC give.

This, anyone who cares THAT MUCH about numbers on a mouse game has bigger problems than this update. Everyone else, y'know, the normal players, not farmers and statpadders, love this update because they're actually getting rewarded for playing this game mode.

I'm pretty sure tfm won't be keen on pleasing the few nolifers and stat-crazed people, but rather, it's main audience, the people playing the game for what it was intended for, fun. Enjoy the update! ~

I'm indifferent but I'm still against the change in principle. Statistics are only useful when they're true. If you're going to affect them randomly so that you can no longer distinguish where the stats have come from, there's no point in having any statistics at all. And since no one apparently cares (at least according to this thread), you may as well remove the stat tracking from the API altogether and be done with it.

Sure I'm exaggerating, but here's a bad analogy to explain it. Say you're a formula driver. You have statistics on your average speeds on a track so you can quickly see if you and your car are performing better or worse than on average. Now, suddenly someone says you need to start including your shopping trip speeds into the statistics. What happens is that all the averages in the stats become useless.

You don't have to be a no-lifer tryhard to understand why truthful stats are good and fun to have in a skill based game. There are always going to be a lot of competitive-minded people who actually care about stats or just find them fun in games like these. Ruining those stats with changes that actually accomplish nothing is not very good game design imo, all you're doing is angering a portion of the playerbase. Yes, a minor portion, but big enough to warrant some consideration I think.

You people need to understand that this is not about some stupid cheese/first ratio. It's about added rounds that make your first/save ratio go lower by each map you play. It's like adding more questions to exam, saying you wont get any points from those when you do it but they raise the maximum points and thus lower your grade. And end it with the "I don't care about stats I don't see your problem" bullshit. Some of us like to play this competetively.
