I do like the new layout, BUT there should be a few small changes. The chat color plank should be a bit darker, and the users on the chat should be different colors besides teal (maybe the color we choose for our sham color that appear on maps?)

I fine the update.. neutral i guess.
I expected Transformice to have a brownish scheme in the end, the usual blue in transformice never seems to match with the mouse's brown.
But even so i feel that giving a huge leap from blue to brown is a bad idea as yellow and blue are discorded colors, thats why it hurts people's eyes..
and also how it is released when it is unfinished, all the small detailed bugs really bugs us ...

But even so i appreciate the effort, i bet it took hours to get the art, coordinates and etc. in .

Yeah fullscreen is the ugliest thing ever now.
If you create a "new interface" that is just a simple picture put on top of the old things (you can even see it loading when you start the game) at least give us an option to disable it.

On another note, which is probably too late now because why not just leave this ugly overlay in game if it already is, why didn't they go the way they did for the shaman window:

They used the same design also for the new skilltree window and the inventory. The simple borders and the shading of blue is way less intrusive than this weird wooden overlay which is just ugly. That should have been the way for a holistic UI design. Instead, we get like 3 - 4 different kinds of design with different buttons and backgrounds.

You forgot the derpy shaking scrollbar for the chat.

Just remove all chat tabs and stare at the scroll bar as you expand and contract the chat box

All these errors.

I know they're trying their best, but this is just sloppy. This was like that very last game I played with a simplistic interface, and now it's colorful, messy .jpgs. Just... Why??

It's beautiful. People need to stop complaining about it.
Maybe there can be a button where you can turn it on/off?
Maybe you can add your own back round?

I understand the complaints about it hurting people's eyes. Any kind of feedback is necessary and could possibly influence whether or not the UI gets changed.

I kind of miss the simplicity of the game. All of the new features don't really mix and it's really sad to see the lovely blue color go. The new interface seems really rushed and it didn't really need to be updated (besides for minor changes), tbqh.

Agreeing with Epifistu although I don't feel as strongly about it all.

An UI update was long overdue, but there are a lot of issues with this new design.. I would've much preferred a restyle like the 'newer' dialogs have. But hey, there's still time to tweak it (or overhaul, take your pick).

From a staff perspective, the brown is an absolute pain in combination with the differently colored chats we have.

i hate it. the colors don't go with the colors of the menus (tribe, friend, shaman, whatever).

this is probably because i use a different font, but whatever. apparently the chat text is now bold.

tried out the adblock thing

i guess it works??/

After playing with the colors for a bit, I won't say that the brown clashes with each color (/chat's color is kind of... Eh. I can only tolerate it because it reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream. Except that has nothing to do with tfm so again, eh.). I'm thinking the colors for each chat element(?) should change if we are sticking with this type of interface. It's good that the names on the sham list have changed colors to match the interface.

Can anybody please tell me where to go for IE to receive an ad block and make this horrid sight (for me) to go away. I respect the update if you like it, but it burns like crazy for me.
