I'm not too big on the whole "remove totems from survivor" idea, so this is why I can't have an opinion on this. Mainly because I have a stronger preference to the thread on cannon item limit in totems for Survivor.

Update:
Supporting this suggestion now.
The only totems in survivor I've seen are full cannon totems or the glitched cannon totem involving the ball.
These are cheap tactics created by the shaman and automatically kill many mice at once.
Issues with the totems:
Totems with 20 cannons: Can be avoided, but newly experienced players in survivor may not be able to dodge.
Ball/cannon god: Uses a red-nailed ball and 3-4 shot cannons on green nails. This causes the balls to spaz out and instantly kill anyone with a range of the entire map. Can't be avoided unless you're trapped in a small secure space between platforms on the map, otherwise, extremely high change of the totem killing you. This does kill the shaman as well, but within that 20 second mark, can kill every player.
There are even more cheap tactics out there.

Another reason that totems should be removed: Players who use easy killing totems will not gain experience along the way.
How?
• They will not be able to practice actual skills in using cannons and other methods to kill players.
• Without their totem, they would not be able to strategically kill mice.
• They have a cheap way to earn cannon coins to those who decide to farm.
• May conflict with one's reputation within the community.

And for those who oppose:
"Totems support the shaman!" Read above.
"Shamans need the totems to build!" No they do not. They need to make use of their skills and build within time limits, along with using cannons appropriately. This is survivor, not vanilla nor normal mode.
"Not all totems are harmful!" Although this is true, keep in mind totems are easily abused in survivor with the methods as seen above. You don't see totems made for vanilla in survivor often anymore.

Removing totems because its use may conflict with ones reputation within the community is literally the worst argument I've seen in this entire thread.

Totem has been a part of transformice for years, it does not help in just survivor, it helps in everything, you can't just remove totems because it annoys u and have no proof of anyone being annoyed. Dont make people quit the game. If people are breaking the rules, report them and stop complaining, its the mod and admins jobs to take care of it so stop complaining and have fun AND I SURVIVE TOTEMS IN SURVIVOR AND WATCH ME DO IT

I never say it only annoyed me, it annoys more than 50% of the players in survivor which in my opinion is a valid reason to remove them. If you want any proof of people being annoyed you can take a look at the previous pages on this thread, the people who don't support it or say non-sense stuff are the ones who either don't play survivor enough to feel affected or the ones that use totems because they like seeing people pissed off and that gives them some sort of weird satisfaction. I have been inactive in-game for a long time and lately i've played some survivor rounds with friends and even though the amount of people who use totems for massive killing/lagging purposes has decreased but there are still a few.

I would only stand for the totems that are purely for fun, but not many people have those in survivor, so why not just ban them in survivor entirely? it's completely unfair because nobody has any idea what to expect, whereas with cannons, you can see what direction they are going, which gives you a chance to dodge them. Totems could be anything, so you have no idea what to dodge, or how to dodge it, which is awfully unfair and really annoying. Someone please just remove these pests!
