when i started this game it felt like there were barely any events. I liked it that way, it made them more special,more of a big deal. I think this putting-a-new-event-up-as-soon-as-one-ends devalues them a lot. I can see the shift in people's attitudes to "i don't like this event, when's the next one and what'll it be?" from "omg event! event!" I also see people condemning new events before they even happen :(

I think i personally enjoyed the older events cos i could get shop items from them. Cos titles and badges mean nothing to me, as i always wear the same title and never really saw the point in badges. I wonder why they got rid of shop items for events. I loved it. When i wanted my demon skull and saw people wear them i remember asking "omg where did you get that?" and was told it's from haloween, and looked forward to waiting for that event even tho it had just passed and i missed it :) I think it adds a certain speciality to those items. But now if i'm right you can straight up buy them at those times, and they're not something that has to be earned :(. I also liked how everyone wore the event items they'd just got, so there was always loads of santa mice around christmas time and such. it made the event feel more involved.

now the focus seems to be on consumables. Some people seem to want to collect 80 of each and never use them, others have a few and rarely use them cos they don't want to run out, others spam them straight after the event map. I like the penguin furs, but that's it, and that's for personal penguinish reasons :P

i feel events have gone downhill a lot since they started trying to do new things other than shop items. It gives the playerbase a very entitled feel, where everyone is going "oh i hope we get better stuff next time" when you shouldn't really be expecting anything at all....
