Are 'normally' numbered EN rooms going extinct? |

Any chance you could give us some numbers regarding the playerbase? Is EN growing or shrinking? In fact, what about the game as a whole as well? I'd love to know. |

My homeroom is room 2, and it's usually full. But that's probably because it's a single digit room. >.> |

I love room 12. AT first there could be 25 mice, but sometimes there are only 3. When they first announced the US server, I thought yay! But then I realized I had a problem, what server would my foreign friends use. So how can I chose which server, I might as well be choosing which friend to hang out with- if there not there I'll have to switch servers. Tfm has less connection prblems and the moderation has been better, but at what cost did tfm take to do this? |

Room 9 was my hometown, I think I first spawned in room 6/8 when I made my account and lost track of the room when I lagged out so I moved to room 9. It was the coolest place where I could always see the same people hanging around and I stayed in this room for my whole account life (like 2 years) and have some great memories of room 9... (WOW ALL MY MEMORIES ARE ON ONLINE GAMES WHERE IS MY LIFE WHERE IS THE LIFE OF OPAL) I feel really sad to see this room being abandoned. I've got all my reg friends and they come on sometimes but now all of tfm has this sad, empty feeling and I can't even fathom where I'm going to be spending my time. Having a room full of people you don't know is kind of boring because it seems like people only talk to shout out "noob" or something and you can't even have full length discussions about crazy things and good times with those people who you've seen sometimes and kind of know and that one guest that you always see around that waits for others to get first and it feels like a family. I feel like new players need to spawn in number rooms again and thats my story. Guys it is not minigames its just new mice not ever knowing of number rooms because they're taken to vanilla and the resplitting of EN server and EN2 being default its mussin everyone up. |

After coming back from a 6 month hiatus, I returned to find Room 13, my "reg" room, empty. The highest room I've found populated is 8, on rare occassions 9. I remember during events, before you could spawn in whichever room you choose before you signed in, I would get shoved into a full room 25. I don't believe it's a lowering activity in Transformice, but the scattering effects you described above. I was so confused when I created and alternate account and found myself spawning in Vanilla! i completely disagree with that. User made maps are, no offense, in my opinion much more fun than the vanilla maps. Even though I was called noob, I would much rather spend my time in normal rooms during my noob days instead of those. And I completely agree, something has to be done about this o: |

It seems like recently "normally" numbered room activity is going up. Sure, in the ~15+ number rooms, there is absolutely no one, but it seems better than it did a while back. |

Vanilla rooms only have admin made maps in them, which are very simple, therefore being less "fun." |

I don't think it's just the numbered rooms.. I've noticed that, lately, there's been a decrease of players in vanilla as well. Back when I was new in 2013, there always seemed to be players in rooms up to vanilla16/17. I used to go to vanilla100 a lot as well, but no one goes there anymore. Yesterday when I was looking around, there weren't even players in vanilla9+ and 'vanilla' had like 3 players. |

That is true, somwhat, concerning the upper vanilla rooms, but now that noobs are automatically sent to vanilla, first farmers have figured that out, so they go to vanilla which then overpopulates vanilla rooms and underpopulates the "normal rooms." |

ADDITION: A lot of people go to different servers to farm firsts. They think people from, I dunno. China, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, BLAHBLAH, are noob(er) than the average English server player. |

I remember playing in room 28, now around this time, the highest it goes to is 8 or 9. |

I have been on Transformice for 3 year going 4 August I started in room 8 so I can't tell too much about the change in EN rooms but from what i can tell is room 8 will be at lets say 23 mice and in the next 15m it will be at 15 i find this odd as I had taken a break from Transformice. Still it looks like the EN community may be slowly depleting and that makes me sad because this game hold alot of memories and the thought that most of the EN rooms may be going "extinct" Sucks. |

I started transformice on another account (Cosgirl) in 2010. I played on and off until 2013, when I seriously started tfm again regularly (on a weekly basis). I actually quite like the lesser numbered EN rooms with lesser people. At any rate, my old default room is ./room 100 and people still go there (When one particular pro regular is there, it gets to about 18 people or more). My new default room is ./room 1000 which usually has about 3- 8 people. I enjoy playing in rooms with about 5 or 6 people, because....I think I'm kind of an introvert. I used to love being in rooms with about 16 people, which is why I really enjoyed frequenting ./room pro back in 2010-2011. Nobody goes there now. To think that the EN community is dying really makes me kind of sad, due to the memories in 2010-2011. I also believe that the recently introduced module selection thing that pops up from the menu is affecting the number of people in cheese rooms. It certainly has seduced me to #powerup more than once. Though, I have to wonder about something. The "number of people playing (insert module)" thing it displays seems to be collating the total number of people in all communities playing on the module, instead of the number of people on the community the player is on who are playing (insert module). Annoying. Also, I go to EN2 to make myself feel pro. This is because there seem to be more inexperienced/new players in EN2 for some reason. Well, this isn't really a glorified way to be "pro", I know. In addition, I go to EN2 to play on rooms with fewer people. |

I didn't expect this to get bumped. I'm not sure if/how the situation has changed over the past months, but I can see that Atelier801 made various improvements to the game that can help people finding the rooms they love. I'm talking about the new "Menu > Game Mode" menu, which really is a job well done, but also the newer link to Atelier801's other games. I hope (and sort of expect) this will improve the flow of players throughout different parts of TFM and Atelier801's other games. So, I'm quite happy about that. From Tumblr I know that Meli is working on and off on a "numbers post" which will include all sorts of statistics. Maybe it will also include information on TFM player counts. I would be greatly interested in that. I expect this will still take considerable time considering her poor health, though. Obviously health comes first! |

I stay normally in Vanilla rooms because #1, Vanilla maps are fairly simple to solve as a shaman which helps me get more saves. #2, usermade maps CAN be awful. The rules say that you shouldn't make crash maps and what not, but that doesn't mean people aren't going to. I will admit that Vanilla rooms can get pretty boring, but honestly I find it rather easy to get cheese and saves faster there. The only reason I stay in EN1 you might think of as odd, but I use it because if I uncheck "display messages from other communities", it completely silences the chat box. I love it, especially when I'm shaman so I don't get distracted, or when the chat is getting offensive or something. Although it's rather silly, yeah that's the only reason I use EN1. All my friends use EN2. Anyways, I guess I do agree, you make a lot of excellent points and describe them well. However, honestly I haven't used a, well "normal" room in years. I used to be a regular in room 4 and room Ice, but Ice slowly died. So really I haven't touched a "normal" room since around 2012 or 2011. I guess I kind of forgot what I was babbling about in the middle of my paragraph, I apologize. Sometimes I get sidetracked. |

Nezumini a dit : I thought it was an interesting read :P With your friends in EN2 and you yourself in EN1, you don't really get to play together much? I used to think you could freely move between EN and EN2 but apparently that's not possible (would be nice I suppose). |

That doesn't really solve the problem of numbered rooms being empty, though ^^' |
