/half support remove the big plank, yes, but the restorative, no. I mean, it's a still that was chosen for a reason. people can have it, or not have it. |

/support Tbh I'd understand if you can use the cloud in divine mode. |

/Half support. For me, only being able to use the big plank in normal and hard mode would be annoying since the summoning range is a lot smaller. Example I guess |

/support How are people supposed to learn how to build in divine mode if everyone is using tape and long planks |

/half support long planks should definitely be taken out of divine mode, but restorative is somewhat difficult to completely take out. Using tape in divine is pretty cheap but sometimes it’s reasonable like when there is lag and it causes the build to glitch, although divine can be easily done without tape, for me it’s a last resort kind of thing, usually in water maps since I seem to have a lot of glitches with water maps. For example the builds deciding to shoot upwards out of no where, but I think tape should maybe only be allowed as 1 in divine since that’s all that is really needed |

This wouldn't work. No one would use big planks and it is a waste of a skill if players love to use divine. Plus, if you removed tape from divine mode then water maps would make players suffer. Besides, divine mode can't use a ton of stuff like summon clouds and green and red nails. |

Divine mode can't use those things for the same reason you shouldn't be able to use these. 3 duct tape planks is not building. |

/half support Maybe just limit the restorative to 1 per round like the spiritual springs and straight up kill long planks? |

/support You don't even need to have a lot of experience in divine to tell how overpowered a single restorative is and it is better than a plank with a yellow nails, the thing made unavailable in divine. Are you the best of the best? This mode is made for you! Forget totems and yellow anchors, you'll need to be ingenious. Nope or not really with the 2 skills in the title or that topic... From what I remember during the times with skills disabled in vanilla, no divine sham (except me when I didn't screwed) was able to make an okay build on maps 129, 131 or 134, curiously enough (or not) most of the known heads on FR vanilla1 at the time weren't on divine. Now those 3 maps are I think a bit more hard than diff1 maps on #divinity but I saw some players trying diff1 maps having a hard time (if not failing) and they weren't new at divine at all. |

/half support Maybe limiting the big plank skill in divine mode to 1 or 2 (or idk but not unlimited) and taking out restorative completely from the mode for the sake of difficulty would suffice. |

I'm just remembering how divine building was like before tape and long planks were introduced. I would see these divine builders make creative builds using the physics of the game and would get excited about unlocking divine mode and being able to try solve the map's build firsthand. Now, it's just long planks and tape. A lot of gameplay is being lost due to these 2 skills being in divine mode. |

/half support The big plank definitely shouldn't be used in divine mode like the cloud of spiritual guide (it's so op), but not restorative. Not all know how to build decently, especially with maps of anti gravity or water, so restorative can be very helpful for those who find it difficult the divine mode. Is still op that skill but not like the big plank, at least they will have to think a little more to build |

/support Vanilla and normal rooms are filled with divine shams simply spamming super planks and tape as solutions to maps. It's mindless and there's no creativity in building whatsoever. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. And when said hammer is incredibly overpowered... there is simply no incentive to try building anything else especially when you can just copy and paste the same old super plank tape combo on any map you see. This is especially problematic because superplank/tape builds are one of the best constructions you can build as a divine mode shaman on any map, instantly offering unparalleled stability and weight tolerance with no effort required on the shaman's part to think up a solution. It wouldn't be as bad if these skills produced a build of comparable stability and weight tolerance as a another build produced by a shaman without these skills who knows what they're doing. Unfortunately, these superplank/tape constructions tend to be superior in every way, further contributing to the problem of its overuse. Not only is there a lack of incentive for shamans to learn how to build without these skills, there is a disincentive for shamans to not have these skills, almost making use of these skills a requirement if one wants to be comparable to the other shams that use it (in terms of saves, xp, etc... because let's face it, stats are everything in this game). And there the problem lies. Furthermore, if all that new players are exposed to are divine superplank/tape constructions, that will be all they learn, further reinforcing the idea (in new players' minds) that these two skills are essential for success at divine mode. It's a vicious, neverending, cycle. New players see, new players do. It works, so they just keep doing the same ol superplank-nail, over and over, well past the point where they would be considered "seasoned players". Newer players see them do this, and follow suit... I offer the preponderance of divine-superplank-tape shamans in all vanilla/normal rooms as evidence to my claims. Shamaning in Transformice used to be an art. Shamans would come up with all kinds of creative builds to help mice get the cheese and enter the hole. Knowledge would be shared, strategies would be discussed on how to build better builds, stronger builds, stabler builds. Somewhere down the line, this culture of building got corrupted by the simplicity and effectiveness of tape and superplanks in divine mode. This overpowered hammer, with which all maps look like nails to be struck. The art of building is no more. I say we change that, and removing this overpowered hammer from the hands of braindead divine shamans is a good first step. |
