Well Done
A well-done steak should show no hint of pink whatsoever. Its center will be grayish-brown throughout and the outside will be nicely charred. (approximately 165 degree core temperature)
http://chefandserve.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Pan_Broiled_Steak-feature.png

Medium Well
A medium-well piece of meat will just have a slight hint of pink in the middle. Otherwise, it will be primarily cooked through and will feel quite firm. (approximately 155 degree core temperature)

Medium
A medium piece of meat will have a large band of pink through the middle, but will be primarily grayish-brown throughout. (approximately 145 degree core temperature)

Medium Rare
The center of a medium-rare piece of meat will be slightly warmer and reddish-pink instead of red. (approximately 130 degree core temperature)
http://chicolockersausage.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/grilled-rare-steak.jpg

Rare
A rare piece of meat will have a bright red center, and its outside will be brownish-gray. The center will be warm, but not hot. (approximately 125 degree core temperature)

Blue rare
Seared on the outside, completely red throughout. Meat remain gel-like in texture and difficult to chew; juices are not yet flowing freely. (approximately 115 degree core temperature)

Well, technically that would be steak I think, but how you'd want it cooked is the question for the thread <:

Also I wanna mention that the vegetarian option can double as vegan or for people who just don't like steak 'v'

I'm more of a medium rare person, it's a nice balance between the other steaks.

I like medium. Well done can be too tough and medium well is too dry.

I like mine "Well Done" because 90 percent of the time it goes one notch down to "Medium Well" which is also pretty good. I dare not to default myself to say "Medium Well" though because it might go one notch down from that to "Medium".

Chefs and Grill Masters struggle with "Well Done" steaks because they do not want to overcook it, so they pull out usually on "Medium Well". IMO.

Rarely eat steak. I mostly eat healthier types of meat.

Otherwise, I would like mine well done/brown throughout.

Ive just always had my steak medium. Im too frightened that medium well is too dry and Im scared Ill get diseases from anything lower than medium. I just find medium as the perfect balance of juiciness and flavor.

Lolokizka a dit :

There's something about the medium rare that's just so good-- if done right, the juices are flowing freely and its so tender that it' ;v;

If you ever find a trustworthy place that cooks meat just how you ask it, I highly recommend trying medium rare. I can understand the fear of diseases, but by the time its at med rare it's pretty much safe from that risk ;v;
